- Society Café Encore
- Las Vegas
Society Café Encore’s bar offers a bar menu that covers all your typical drinks and small bites. You’ll find a variety of white and red wines by the glass and bottled, domestic, imported and specialty beers, as well as Society cocktails. A popular option at the Las Vegas restaurant is the Bloody Society cart, which offers five variations of the classic Bloody Mary, including the Ragin’ Cajun Mary and Dirty Mary. A finger-food menu is also available at the bar. Choose from lollipop chicken wings to mac ’n’ cheese bites, which are all portioned for sharing. The bar at Society Café Encore is a festive scene that’s not too formal for feasting.
- Encore Tower Suites
- Las Vegas
Encore Tower Suites offers guests VIP service, from private check-in to rides in its fleet of house cars. The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel has sedans, limousines and even Rolls-Royces at the ready to take you to dinner or just on a cruise along the Las Vegas Strip. Just ask the Encore Tower Suites concierge to arrange a car for you, and keep in mind, there is a charge for these services. For more mundane transportation, taxis line up outside the main entrance of Encore. Or if you’re headed elsewhere on the Strip, pop over to Harrah’s, where you can board the Monorail. This driverless tram stops at seven stations along the Strip.
Between its vibrant downtown area and its beautiful waterfront, Tacoma has plenty of perfect spots for luxe hotels. Here are our picks for the best places to stay in Tacoma:
1. Hotel Murano. This sleek, contemporary boutique hotel features a three-story, skylit lobby decorated with works of art by acclaimed glass artists from around the globe, including world-renowned Tacoma native Dale Chihuly. The stylish rooms feature flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations and beds swathed in luxury linens. On the fourth floor is BITE, an airy, modern restaurant where you can enjoy seasonal cuisine against a backdrop of eye-catching art.
2. Thornewood Castle. A stay at Thornewood Castle — a 500-year-old Tudor Gothic historic site located on American Lake — may feel like you’re at a grand manor somewhere in Europe. Lavishly appointed guest rooms and suites feature special touches such as 16th-century stained glass, dark wood canopy beds, soaking tubs and electric fireplaces. Wander the expansive gardens at the property and soak in its history — U.S. Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft stayed here.
