Sitting at the water’s edge in the Harbor East neighborhood of Baltimore, Charleston offers a unique cuisine with roots in French fundamentals and the Low Country cooking of South Carolina. Literally minutes from the historic Inner Harbor, this Four-Star restaurant showcases one of the most authentic Baltimorean views: a busy marina on the Upper Patapsco River. Situated inside the Sylvan Prometrics Building, Charleston sits at the intersection of S. Exeter and Lancaster streets. Though it does seem like an odd location for a Four-Star restaurant, being in an office building and all, but chef Cindy Wolf makes the best out of it; so much so that you don’t even realize that you are in a commercial building. At 1000 Lancaster St., its French-influenced American menu and an excellent wine list to match are the epitome of all that is Charleston.
