As you might guess from its name, Keswick Hall at Monticello is located in scenic Virginia just minutes from historic Monticello, the former home of Thomas Jefferson. The best way to get to the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star property is by car; it’s only a 20-minute drive from Charlottesville or an hour-and-15-minute drive from Richmond. The closest airport is Charlottesville Albemarle Airport, which is about 30 minutes from Keswick.

The ease of getting to Keswick Hall at Monticello belies its worlds-away feel. The luxurious estate sits next to two horse farms and the Keswick Hunt Club, the oldest hunt club in Virginia. It also counts vineyards among its neighbors and boasts an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course on its 600 sprawling acres.
