What is Winter in Venice like at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino?
The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino co-hosted the 2012 Winter in Venice festival with sister property The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino from Nov. 18 to Jan. 6. Inside The Palazzo, the stunning red and white décor let you know that you needed a little Christmas.
If you ventured into the shopping area and the multi-story waterfall called The Palazzo Waterfall Gardens, majestic white crystal-and-pearl peacocks were on display and available for photo opportunities. The garden included ice branches and a truly breathtaking 20-foot frosted birch, as were the crystal “ice” ponds that shimmered in the distance.
In the lobby, “elves” gave away hot apple cider while characters, including white vine-covered Christmas creatures on stilts, prowled the casino floor. The ice-skating rink by The Venetian waited for guests next door, and the other Winter in Venice festivities were held there including a culinary competition, a 65-foot LED Christmas tree, strolling musicians and live bands.
The 50-day celebration also included Grammy-winner Chip Davis’ “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Las Vegas,” playing in The Palazzo Theater for six weeks. -

Does the menu at Mizumi have seasonal dishes?
The extensive menu at Mizumi at Wynn Las Vegas changes as various seasonal vegetables arrive to accompany the delicious fare. From fresh mushrooms and radishes to watermelon, avocado and cucumbers, the chef makes excellent use of the freshest ingredients as they come into season and ripen. Other seasonal favorites include asparagus, sweet corn and tomatoes that he roasts in various dishes.
