What is the service like at Aurora?
Sometimes it’s the small, thoughtful moments while you’re dining with us at Aurora that make your experience that much more enjoyable. During the course of your meal, our world-renowned chef Michele dell’Aquila will visit your table to check in and ask about your experience thus far. It is our way of letting you know that we want to take the time to personally meet all of our guests that pass through the restaurant. Our attitude throughout all of Altira Macau stresses the importance of personalized service, and a tableside visit by our chef is just another extension of this mentality. -

What music is played at Aurora?
A pleasant ambiance permeates throughout Aurora, thanks in part to the various types of soft music playing in the restaurant. While you’re stopping for a quick drink at the bar, you might hear the tunes of famous jazz musicians, or while you’re enjoying your dinner your ears will be graced with authentic Italian songs in the background. If you prefer live music, head up to Lounge 38 and watch the trio Trifecta perform. Allow the music to move you as the band plays songs from pop, jazz, R&B and classic hits. -

What are the table settings like at Aurora?
Our table settings at Aurora restaurant reflect the attitude of the restaurant: elegant and luxurious. From the moment you sit down (and after you take a moment to stare out of the floor-to-ceiling windows at the view), you will notice a table setting that is simple and contemporary. We pay attention to detail, right down to the plates your food is placed on. Plates are Ercuis and Hermes (why shouldn’t luxury extend to dinnerware?), perfectly complimenting the delicate creations of Italian fare prepared by chef Michele dell’Aquila just for you.

What’s the best table at Aurora?
A great view goes a long way during your meal, especially when you dine with us at Aurora. While we believe that the entire restaurant boats incredible views thanks to our floor-to-ceiling windows, those near the bar area facing the window are especially breathtaking. If you want a bird’s-eye view of how your meal is prepared, certain tables in the restaurant are conveniently situated next to the chef Michele dell’Aquila’s preparing dishes in the open kitchen. If you book one of our private dining rooms you can have an up-close-and-personal experience next to the pastry kitchen watching our pastry chef whip up mouth-watering sweet treats. -

What is the interior design of Aurora?
Despite our location in the Far East, Aurora proves to be an Italian oasis within the walls of Altira Macau. Modern furnishings and touches sprinkle the landscape in the restaurant, with rich chocolate browns complimented by copper paneling and soothing lighting. Light Italian marble is interspersed throughout the space, creating a sleek balance to the heavier tones found in the furniture and the carpet. Overall, we want to make you feel cozy and comfortable, with the feeling that you’re dining at a sophisticated Italian restaurant with sumptuous sweet and savory cuisine. -
