Do I need a reservation for XS?

Travel Guide Inspector

It’s a good idea to plan ahead for a visit to XS, located at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas and one of the city’s hottest nightclubs. If you’d like to visit XS on a Sunday or Monday night, call the club or visit its website at least 48 hours in advance to put your name on the guest list. On other nights, dress to impress and plan to try your luck outside the club’s velvet rope in order to gain entrance to the sultry, sprawling club, which has massive windows that open onto Encore’s pool. You can also submit a request for a table or one of the club’s private poolside cabanas (though reservations are not guaranteed), which require the purchase of European-style bottle service.

How do I get on the guest list at XS?

XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas — one of the top clubs on the Vegas Strip at the moment — is open Fridays through Mondays from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., with guest lists only available for groups of ladies Sunday and Monday nights (see the XS website for more information). To guarantee a fast entrance, we recommend that you pre-order tickets, or reserve a table with bottle service. The earlier you get in the better — entrance fees and drink prices are known to go up as it gets later. We found the peak traffic hours (in line and then on the dance floor) between midnight and 2 a.m.; the headlining DJs typically start between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. If you’re staying at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Wynn Las Vegas and you pre-order tickets, you’ll receive VIP front-of-the-line access. In addition to the entrance cost, expect to spend upward of $15 per cocktail. Bottle service at the tables (indoor and outdoor) starts at about $575, but be aware that there are often minimums of two or three bottles, particularly on big event nights. That could start your Vegas club experience at $1,500, so bring a big group of friends.

How do I request a table at XS?

XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas offers luxury VIP tables inside the nightclub and beds and couches on the patio, where you’ll be seated around a glittering pool surrounded by lush landscaping. XS is an A-list venue at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Encore, so we recommend you avoid the wait in line and at the bar by booking a table reservation with bottle service. If you’re coming with a large group (10 people or more), it may be more economical to split the cost of several bottles; generally the management recommends one bottle for every three or four people. With bottle service you’ll have the assistance of wait staff, serving you refills of mixers and ice. The service starts at about $575 for Absolut and ranges up to the Ace of Spades Champagne Brut for $150,000. Keep in mind there is often a two or three bottle minimum, particularly for the popular indoor tables. For information call 702-770-3375 or visit www.xslasvegas.com.

What does the outdoor space at XS look like?

If you need to catch your breath after the crush on the dance floor at XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, then just step outside to the nightclub’s patio and pool area (it opens in the spring, generally March or April). The outdoor space is 40,000 square feet and contains beds and couches for lounging (table reservations work the same way as inside the nightclub), plus a gaming pavilion with a bar, eight blackjack tables and craps. On our visit to the XS nightclub at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Encore, we found the bartenders to be friendly, fast with the drinks and happy to give recommendations. The mood is most relaxed on the patio. We found many couples talking quietly while waiting for Tiesto to go on (generally the main music sets start between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m.), and ladies dipping their feet in the shallow end of the pool. In the summer, XS hosts a Sunday night swim.

What is the dress code at XS?

You won’t have any problem seeing why the XS nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas is often ranked by industry experts as one of the top clubs in Las Vegas, and it’s for that reason that the casual chic dress code is strictly enforced. The name of this nightclub (“excess”) at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Encore Las Vegas invokes luxury and privilege and, in fact, XS exceeds that promise. You won’t get past with hats, baggy clothing or athletic wear. Ladies wear sexy cocktail or party dresses with stylish heels (make sure you break in those four-inch heels; no bare feet in the club or the casino). As for the guys, untucked collared shirts are a standard, so change it up with a different patterned shirt, a nice sports coat or a skinny tie. Stylish slacks (think Zara, H&M or Diesel) and nice jeans always work, as long as they look good and aren’t baggy. As for shoes, you’re always safe with leather. Spend your night dancing and drinking with friends, not alone by the bar; come prepared with that perfect Vegas club outfit. The XS security staff are diligent — don’t step over the ropes or you’ll be asked to step back over and then walk all the way around.

What is the cover charge at XS?

As one of the hottest venues in Las Vegas right now, you’ll find getting in to XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas the most difficult part of your Vegas nightclub experience, with a cover charge reflecting its exclusivity. The club attracts from 4,000 to 6,000 people nightly, and pre-sale tickets (regularly $30 for men and $20 for ladies, but prices often go up depending on the talent and season) are your best bet for flying through that line if you’re not reserving a table with bottle service. Be aware: The guest list is only for groups of ladies on Sunday and Monday. The club opens at 10 p.m., so get there early to beat the crowd. If you’re staying at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Wynn Las Vegas and you pre-order XS tickets you’ll receive VIP front-of-the-line access. In addition to the entrance cost, expect to spend upward of $15 per cocktail. What does the interior of XS look like?

Glittering luxury and excess is the theme of the top-rated Las Vegas nightclub XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. XS at Encore is best known for its large dance floor (13,000 square feet indoors) ruled over by the most sought-after international DJs. Any night of the week you and your friends will be dancing to electronic dance music from Tiesto, deadmau5, Nero, Sebastian Ingrosso and David Guetta — just to name a few of the more than 40 headlining names. The nightclubs at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotels Wynn Las Vegas and Encore have worked hard (and paid a lot) to secure the biggest names in the industry. You will not be disappointed. When you first enter the XS club you’ll see a lineup of sexy golden model body castings along the walls and over the two main bars. You’ll find luxurious tables with plush banquettes, low lighting, golden pillars and about a dozen platforms for pole dancing. Above the large dance floor you’ll see a gold revolving chandelier — gold accents are everywhere in the decadent Las Vegas club at Encore — and two golden go-go dancers. Another interesting ceiling feature at XS is the mechanical fans, reminiscent of a decadent Roman boudoir. It’s a party every night, with dropped confetti and fog lit up by an LED light show. Excess at its best.

What signature cocktails are served at XS?

Nothing says XS like excess, and at the XS nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, excess may well be the $10,000 signature cocktail known as the Ono, which contains Louis XIII de Rémy Martin Black Pearl cognac and the rare Charles Heidsieck Champagne Charlie 1981. Men who order it will also receive a pair of 18-karat gold and stingray leather cufflinks. Ladies will receive an 18-karat gold necklace with a Tahitian black pearl and diamond — all branded with a gold XS. Just looking for a less extravagant drink at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Encore? On our visit we enjoyed the Tokyo Tea (Midori melon liqueur, vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec) and the Adios, a Long Island iced tea with Blue Curaçao.
