What is the dress code at Trattoria Reggiano?

Travel Guide Inspector

Trattoria Reggiano has a casual dress code, so you can check your collar at the door (or the patio, for that matter) and enjoy the traditional Italian cuisine in comfort. The Las Vegas restaurant sits right in the heart of the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. It’s near the end of the Grand Canal and across the way from Taqueria Cañonita, in case you have a hard time finding the intimate eatery — and with just a few booths and a handful of tables out on the canal walk, it’s easy to walk right past Trattoria Reggiano if you’re not looking for it. But the small size and location combined with the casual dress help evoke the sense of a true Italian trattoria. Come here for a solid meal, without worrying about how you’re dressed.

What are desserts like at Trattoria Reggiano?

While Trattoria Reggiano doesn’t have an extensive dessert menu, we think you’ll be satisfied by one of your four choices. Your options at the Las Vegas restaurant include a housemade Ricotta Cheesecake, Tiramisu, the house specialty Cannoli and a Seven-Layer Chocolate Cake. However, no Italian meal is complete without espresso; so we think you should certainly check out the coffee choices, which include cappuccino, espresso and café Americano. Trattoria Reggiano also has a specialty dink menu that presents even more ways to wrap up your meal, while helping you digest all that rich food. Try sipping on an after-dinner liqueur like Sambuca Molinari Extra, Amaretto di Saronno, Limoncello Toschi or Frangelico; or you can try a few signature mixtures, such as the Caffè Macchiato and Limoncello Toschi, or the Caffè Latte and Frangelico. Trattoria Reggiano also has a small selection of dessert wines available, so while you might only see four dessert dishes on the menu, you’ll have a bevy of beverages to top off your meal.

    Does Trattoria Reggiano serve pizza?

Part of the appeal of Trattoria Reggiano comes in its trattoria style, which does away with pretenses and simply serves great food in a casual setting. Among those options, you’ll have a variety of pizzas, with classics such as the Margherita, a thin-crust pizza with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil; or the Primavera, topped with zucchini, eggplant, roasted red peppers, portobello mushrooms, fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella. And if you can’t find a pre-set pizza to your liking, you can always create your own — order a one-topping pizza for $16, and tack on $2 for each additional topping. Your topping choices include artichoke hearts, grilled chicken, arugula and sun-dried tomatoes, among others. You can also add imported prosciutto or shrimp for just $6. So if you want a pizza (or maybe your kids want one), then stop by Trattoria Reggiano for a thin-crusted treat in a comfortable setting.

Is Trattoria Reggiano a romantic restaurant?

Trattoria Reggiano isn’t the most romantic space, so you might want to consider other restaurants inside The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and along the Grand Canal Shoppes if romance is what you’re after. Although the casual atmosphere and hearty food can serve you just fine for a casual date, the space is a bit cramped and doesn’t offer much in terms of intimacy. Just a handful of tables fill the Las Vegas restaurant, and noise from shoppers along the Grand Canal Shoppes and fellow tourists will likely provide too many distractions to let you establish that amorous vibe. So while we enjoy the food and atmosphere at Trattoria Reggiano for what it is, we think you’re better off looking elsewhere for a romantic night out.

What is the menu like at Trattoria Reggiano?

Trattoria Reggiano, as the name would have you guess, serves typical trattoria fare. Trattoria Reggiano has a slew of familiar starters, such as fried calamari and a caprese salad, as well as a few originals like the warm spinach salad. Pastas include Baked Ziti, Linguine Bolognese and Pesto Gnocchi; and entrées include Eggplant, Chicken or Veal Parmigiana, Grilled Salmon and a variety of pizzas — you can even create your own pizza from the list of toppings. Expect hearty Italian fare at Trattoria Reggiano — all with a casual, relaxed vibe.

Trattoria Reggiano evokes the feeling of a true Italian street-side café, and along with that feeling, comes trattoria food. Here’s our list of the five best things to order at the casual Las Vegas restaurant:

    1. Linguine Bolognese. This is your traditional, meaty pasta dish. It’s served with slow-simmered ground filet mignon, pomodoro sauce, fresh herbs and spices, and parmesan cheese.

    2. Calamari. A typical way to start an Italian meal, this seafood appetizer is sprinkled with house spices, deep fried, and served with your choice of mild or spicy marinara sauce and lemon wedges.

What is the interior design of Trattoria Reggiano?

Trattoria Reggiano simulates a true Italian trattoria — an intimate space with just three booths, a handful of tables and a visible kitchen inside, plus a couple of café tables out on the canal walk. Pictures of the owner’s family and friends hang on the walls in dark wood frames that match the dark wood cabinets, booths and chairs inside the dining space. The whole dining area might be smaller than your own living room, but that’s part of Trattoria Reggiano’s charm. The yellow-hued walls and green awning might not stand out brightly, but for what the Las Vegas restaurant lacks in size and ornate details, it more than makes up for in food and service.
