The Mandarin Oriental, Macau is positioned on the shore of Macau Peninsula at the South China Sea. The angular building juts out, positioned like a ship setting to sea. The views from the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel's rooms are dramatic as a result — especially if you imagine you have a sea view room on a tall cruise ship (something we liked to do). There is no casino connected to the Mandarin Oriental, making the location ideal for focused business meetings, but the hotel is also within minutes of the casinos at the Lesboa, the Wynn, MGM and Sands for evening outings. The Mandarin Oriental is about a 15 minute drive to the Venetian and Crown Towers across the water on Taipa at Cotai Strip. It is close to the Macau Science Centre, Bar Street and the Macau Cultural Centre.
