Where is The Restaurant located?

Travel Guide Inspector

The Restaurant is located inside The Setai at 2001 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The Four-Star hotel sits at the north limit of South Beach, one of the most tourist-friendly and popular areas of Miami Beach. The Setai is a luxurious oceanfront resort embedded between Collins Avenue — one of the main arteries on the island of Miami Beach — and the beach itself. The beautiful Bass Museum of Art is just across the street and you’re only a ten-minute walk away from Lincoln Road, the pedestrian footpath full of shops and restaurants — a people-watching favorite for locals and visitors. The Miami Beach Convention Center, which hosts the major art show Art Basel Miami every first week of December, is only four blocks west of The Setai.

What are some of the specialty cocktails at The Restaurant?

While there are no specialty cocktails at The Restaurant itself, signature drinks are served at The Bar at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star South Beach hotel. These drinks often change seasonally and almost always have an Asian influence, reflecting the overall ambiance of The Setai.

Specialties include the Saigon Gimlet with chili-infused Russian Standard Vodka, ginger liquor, citrus, simple syrup and basil; and the Yen Rose, a concoction of rose petal-infused sake, peach-infused Russian Standard Vodka, rose syrup, rose Champagne, and grains of desire herbs. If you’re looking for a refreshing summer drink, the Chili Passion Martini, made with chili-infused vodka, passion fruit-infused rum, ginger syrup and chili flakes, is a good one to try. If you’re in the mood for Champagne, there’s an extensive list ranging from $100 to $10,000 a bottle, and the bar also offers a selection of cigars.

Other recommended seasonal cocktails at The Setai’s bar include the Moscow Mule with fresh cucumber, Russian Standard Vodka, lime and ginger beer; the Saffron Saffire with saffron-infused Bombay Sapphire, lavender syrup and crème de framboise; and the Tokyo Rose with fresh raspberry, Milagro Tequila, Domaine de Canton, lemongrass chili syrup and citrus.

We loved the fresh, seasonal ingredients and unique cocktails at The Setai. Plus the mother of pearl bar is a beauty — the perfect setting to sip your delicious signature drink while in Miami.

Does The Restaurant have any special or rare liquors?

Sometimes all a great meal needs is a great liquor to accompany it, and The Restaurant at The Setai offers a few special and rare liquors to choose from. The wine list at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star South Beach hotel offers some great stories — if you visit The Restaurant, you’ll read about the 1907 Heidsieck & Co Monopole “Goût Américain,” a champagne that stayed 82 years under the sea between Sweden and Finland, where the ship cargo carrying this and other liquors for the Russian Imperial Army sank in 1916 during World War I. If you want to not only read about it, but actually enjoy it, you’ll need to part with a cool $5,000.

Apart from that, The Restaurant offers a port from 1855, a selection of DRC (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) wines and other French varieties such as Château Pétrus 1952 and 1974; Château Lafite; Château Mouton Rothschild 1972; Château Margaux; Château Haut-Brion; Château Latour; and many other unique wines.

Does The Restaurant offer any special or rare bottles of wine?

If you’re looking for special or rare bottles of wine, take a trip to the chic wine cellar during your visit to The Setai’s The Restaurant. The mother-of pearl tasting table sparkles in the dim lighting, and you’ll be surrounded by glass-enclosed cases of exclusive hand-selected wines from around the world, including impressive red, white and dessert wines from Spain, Italy and California, to name just a few regions.

The Restaurant’s vintage wine collection is also quite impressive. The cellar at this Miami restaurant in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel houses one of the oldest, rarest wines ever made: a bottle of Taylor Fladgate from the mid-1800s, which goes for $6,880.

The Restaurant also offers a selection of DRC (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) and other renowned French wines such as Château Pétrus 1952 and 1974; Château Lafite; Château Mouton Rothschild 1972; Château Margaux; Château Haut-Brion; and Château Latour.

When you book a stay at the Four-Star South Beach hotel, also be sure to ask about any featured wine dinner events, or special caviar, wine and jazz events — these fill up fast. There’s a reason Wine Spectator awarded The Restaurant’s wine list in 2011 “The Best of Award of Excellence" — visit to find out why for yourself.
