Where is The St. Regis Monarch Beach located?
The St. Regis Monarch Beach is located at 1 Monarch Beach Resort in beautiful Dana Point, Calif., a city known for its scenic coastal bluffs and rolling hills. Dana Point is just south of Laguna Beach in Southern California’s sun-soaked Orange County. Though the Five-Star hotel isn’t directly next to the ocean, you can still get a good glimpse of the Pacific from the expansive 172-acre resort. Despite it’s enormous size, the St. Regis Monarch Beach doesn’t feel overdeveloped one bit — in fact, you can’t even see if from the street. It’s large but secluded, extravagant but tasteful.
The hotel is home to some of the top establishments in the area, including the Five-Star Spa Gaucin, the Four-Star Stonehill Tavern from celebrity chef Michael Mina, and the Monarch Beach Golf Links course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. And just beyond the resort bumped up next to the ocean is the lovely Salt Creek Beach, popular among local surfers. Also nearby is Doheny State Park which is great for camping, picnics, swimming and, of course, surfing.
