    Is Napa good for dates?

If you want to impress your date, make reservations at Napa, the wine-focused restaurant within the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando. You can opt for a fun and relaxed night out at the bar, or perhaps a more romantic evening with candlelight at a cozy private table. Whichever you choose, Napa’s décor, combined with flickering candlelight, fine wine and an organic, farm-fresh meal, makes for an unforgettable evening.

For a bit more privacy, ask to be placed in a booth at Napa; with its higher backs, you’ll feel a bit more secluded. And after a romantic dinner, head up the Rocks bar for a more lively setting, with a dance floor and nightly DJs.

How old does my child have to be to dine at Napa?

Luckily for you, there is no age requirement for kids to join you for a meal at Napa. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando is a family-friendly hotel, which means your little ones are welcome in the restaurant, as well. Since there is no special kids’ menu, however, we recommend reserving this restaurant for children with a more refined palette.

The breakfast and lunch menus at Napa tend to be a little more forgiving in terms of kid-friendly options, but you won’t find any chicken nuggets or cheese pizza on the dinner menu. Another thing to keep in mind is that dinners at Napa typically run one-and-a-half to two hours, so if you have a restless youngster, you may want to try another venue.

What is the food presentation like at Napa?

When you dine at Napa, the restaurant inside the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando, you’ll find that just as much thought is put into the food’s presentation as into the dish itself. The food is simply presented on crisp, white dishes, so that the focus is squarely on the food. We loved the presentation of the Whole Fried Yellowtail Snapper and the Cioppino, an Italian stew made with fresh fish, mussels, calamari, crab and shrimp combined with fennel and leeks in a spicy tomato broth, finished off with saffron-paprika rouille. It’s a California dish with a Florida twist — and a must-try if you’re dining at Napa and have a taste for seafood.

Are there any signature desserts at Napa?

If you’re looking for a real treat for dessert at Napa, try the Maracaibo Chocolate Sabayon. This deconstructed dessert features roasted coffee crème brûlée, salted chocolate almond streusel and Almond Joy sorbet. It’s $10 and worth every penny, and it goes down easy with the last few sips of your robust red wine.

For a lighter option, another favorite at Napa, the restaurant inside the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando, is the homemade sorbet and gelato. Flavors change daily, so you may have to return a few times, just to taste. You choose three flavors as part of the sampler and get pistachio biscotti along with your scoops.

If you’re in the mood for something a little less sweet after your Napa meal, order the cheese plate. The artisanal cheese plate is a nice choice, with three to five local cheeses such as Turtle Creek Goat Cheese, Point Reyes Farmstead Original Blue and Fiscalini Farms White Cheddar.

What are the desserts like at Napa?

The desserts at Napa are works of art in their own right, and are all creatively plated and presented to make the most of your decadent experience. You can thank pastry chef Alain Vengnaut, who has showcased his culinary skills at various restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas over the years.

If you think you have room for dessert (we certainly did), we highly suggest ordering a sweet treat at the end of your meal at this restaurant inside the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando. The current dessert menu features favorites such as grenadine poached rhubarb; Maracaibo chocolate sabayon (roasted coffee crème brûlée, salted chocolate almond streusel and almond joy sorbet); coconut lime panna cotta (roasted vanilla pineapple, basil-scented fruit sauce and mango sorbet); a spring tart sampler (rhubarb strawberry lemon yogurt cream, dark chocolate nutty crisp, sour cream cabernet blueberry compote); and the sorbet and gelato sampler (your choice of three served with pistachio biscotti).

How can you choose just one? Perhaps you and your dining companions can order a few of Napa’s delicious desserts to share, and we doubt there will be a morsel left on the plate. And if you’re not done sipping on drinks, there’s an after-dinner drink section of the dessert menu, including ports and sparkling wines by the glass.

Does Napa offer special bread and butter service?

It’s difficult to say no to a bread basket when you’re out to dinner, and Napa makes it especially challenging with its variety of freshly baked breads complemented with olive oil. With a glass of wine, a bite of flaky homemade bread is the perfect start to a fresh meal. Try to limit yourself though; you’ll want to save room for the rest of your dinner at this restaurant inside the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Peabody Orlando. We especially loved the Cioppino (an Italian fish stew): fresh fish, mussels, calamari, crab and shrimp combine with fennel and leeks in a spicy tomato broth, finished off with saffron-paprika rouille to create quite a masterpiece.
