One signature service is Anointing (90 minutes). Beginning with a face and scalp massage, this treatment incorporates a deep-conditioning heated hair mask with a head-to-toe Rose Oil Massage with circular and figure-8 strokes. A 60-minute concentration on the body’s Chakras, or energy centers, with light stretching movements and breathing techniques is followed by a contrasting 30-minute Vichy Rain Shower to boost energy and circulation. Guests will have conditioner in their hair after the treatment, so we recommend a shampoo/blow-dry in the adjoining Kim Vo Salon.
Another signature service is Fruits of the Orchard (90 minutes). After a footbath of jasmine, rosehips, bergamot, neroli and sandalwood, you recline on a heated chaise longue chair while your therapist applies an awakening Lemon Blossom Coffee Olive Scrub. Following a Rose Clay Wrap and a deep-conditioning scalp massage, you step into our signature Affusion Shower and finish with an application of our hydrating tangerine-fig cream.
Also, consider the 90-minute Replenishing Stones treatment. Begin with a relaxation stone massage (60 minutes) to soothe sore muscles, followed by a vigorous Dead Sea Salt Scrub and a contrasting Vichy Shower Rain Therapy. End with an application of honey-fig cream. This treatment will leave you feeling relaxed and invigorated all at once.

Spa Montage offers an array of soothing massages that can be customized to release every bit of tension and leave you feeling totally revitalized. The signature Montage massage is tailored to each guest using a range of bodywork techniques, custom-blended botanical oils and hot scented herbal towels. The Body Specifics treatment uses a blend of cardamom-amber botanical oil to nourish skin, while your therapist targets problem areas (neck and shoulder or hip and lower back) and relieves tension with heat packs. The combination of heat and massage is deeply relaxing.
The Personal Journey massage involves a custom blend of pure aromatic essential oils and delicate strokes along nerve pathways to break up stress in the body. The holistic aromatherapy treatment is super relaxing.
The reflexology massage relaxes the entire body by stimulating reflex pathways on the feet. Or, if the idea of having your lower back massaged while getting a shoulder rub sounds like pure heaven, book the Symphony in Massage. Not one but two therapists will work out all your kinks using botanical oils. The treatment ends with a simultaneous scalp and foot massage.

Spa Montage offers a co-ed mineral soaking pool that’s available to all guests on the third floor of the spa. It’s on the smaller side and it’s meant more for relaxing than swimming laps. Sit under the skylights and enjoy the natural light and relax in the perfectly warmed 102 F water. The pool area takes its style cues from 9th century Andalusia, Spain, which is known for its ornate, palace-like architecture. You’ll find pretty mosaic tiles — in blues, greens, turquoises and teals — on the walls throughout the locker room and high ceilings that make the space feel airy yet still secluded. It’s definitely quiet in there, so you can enjoy some private time with your partner on the padded wooden lounge chairs sectioned off by sheer curtains. There’s also a rooftop pool, but it’s open only to hotel guests.

Spa Montage offers an array of great amenities to prolong your pampering. It’s hard to narrow it down, but here’s our rundown of the five best amenities at this luxurious Four-Star Beverly Hills spa:
1. The co-ed lounge and mineral pool is our favorite. It’s an intimate space where couples and friends can gather to relax in the water heated to an enjoyable 102 F. Skylights above let natural light in and the surrounding walls are covered with eye-catching blue mosaic tiles, which are in keeping with the Moroccan-inspired décor.
2. While you’re relaxing in the waiting area before your treatment, don’t forget to try some of the refreshments on the back counter. We highly recommend the strawberry and cucumber-infused ice water. It’s light and refreshing, and makes it easy to stay hydrated during your spa visit.
3. Spa-goers who stay overnight at Montage Beverly Hills have complimentary access to the Five-Star hotel’s spacious gym. You’ll find tons of cardio machines outfitted with personal TVs, free weights and a large yoga and Pilates studio. Take a fitness class for $25 — with options like body sculpting, indoor cycling and hip hop — or get one-on-one personal training. Hand towels, headphones, magazines, bottled water and fresh fruit are available.
4. Booking an hour-long treatment gets you complimentary access to the spa’s men’s and women’s locker rooms where you can stay a while after your treatment. You’ll find a bevy of amenities here including an herbal steam room, a sauna, a whirlpool and Swiss and deluge showers.
5. After your treatment is over, you’ll be bid adieu with a sweet treat from the hotel’s executive pastry chef Richard Ruskell, whose confections have been featured on The Food Network’s “Last Cake Standing.” His signature antioxidant mix of goji berries, dark chocolate chips and almond slivers is addicting.

Spa Montage offers personalized, unique treatments you won’t find anywhere else, including an array of water-, earth- and orchard-inspired therapies. The signature Surrender treatment is a good example of how the Four-Star Beverly Hills spa takes a personalized approached to whole-body wellness. After an individual consultation, a specially trained therapist will create a personal treatment for you that includes exclusive techniques — both on and off the spa menu — leaving you feeling nourished and refreshed. The treatment is all about your individual needs.
Spa Montage also offers a bunch of great water-based treatments. The Vichy shower rain therapy can be done as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with others. The treatment involves strategically placed showerheads that spray hot and cold water. It’s an invigorating treatment. If you’d rather have a bath, try the Essential Waters treatment. The super relaxing bath is infused with neroli (a plant oil from the bitter orange tree), bergamot and sandalwood. Your therapist will do a water pressure massage that’s heaven for your joints. But that’s not all. This is followed by a long-stroke warm oil massage and finished with an exfoliation treatment and a Vichy shower.
One of the orchard-inspired treatments, Anointing, is different from anything we’ve experienced. It’s a hypnotic massage that concentrates on your energy centers to connect the mind and body. Using an infusion of rose essence, broad, circular strokes, light stretching, focused breathing and a deep-conditioning scalp massage, the treatment almost makes you forget where you are.
If you’re getting together with a group of friends for a birthday party or bridal shower, try the exclusive Spa Montage Soiree. Ideal for groups of eight to 15, you’ll be welcomed with champagne and then it’s off to the hour-long treatment of your choice followed by lunch or afternoon tea around the fireplace in the relaxation lounge. After eating, you can head to the spa’s relaxing mineral soaking pool or the sauna to keep the party going.

Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit so you can enjoy the co-ed mineral soaking pool surrounded by mosaic tiles or take advantage of the locker room amenities, including a sauna, herbal steam room and whirlpool tub.

You should tip your therapist when you receive a treatment at Spa Montage, a luxurious Four-Star getaway in Beverly Hills where you’ll find grand Andalusian-Spanish décor and an array of treatments designed to bring balance. Leaving between 18 and 20 percent gratuity, depending on your treatment, is suggested.
Spa Montage therapists undergo a rigorous year-long training program to learn how to administer the spa’s selection of body therapies and to make skin care and nutrition suggestions. Therapists are professional and very knowledgeable, and will make you feel right at home. A therapist recently sent us home with a free sample to help rid under-eye circles so we could see if we liked the product before purchasing it.

Spa Montage’s offers a range of nail services to get you polished and ready for your Beverly Hills outings. The technicians will do everything from nail repairs to polish changes, and there are a couple of indulgent hand and foot rituals to make the experience extra pampering. You can also get a paraffin treatment if your hands are really dry.
If you’re in the mood for pampering (you are in a lavish Four-Star spa after all), go for the Aura Balance hand or foot ritual. The relaxing treatments use micro algae and mineral salt infused with wildcrafted Indonesian ginger to exfoliate dry skin. This is followed by a relaxing hand or foot massage using a hydrating mix of essential oils, aloe, shea butter, sesame oil, olive oil, avocado and vitamins A and E. It’s definitely a step up from your regular mani-pedi.
As a bonus, Spa Montage uses nail products from Spa Ritual, a company that sources only vegan, paraben-free ingredients such as Italian mandarin oil, Indonesian ginger and French lavender in its more than 80 polish shades. With so many shades, you’ll easily find a color you like.

At Spa Montage, you’ll find an array of customized and unique treatments that take inspiration from water, earth and orchards. That’s right — orchards. The spa was inspired by the 9th century Andalusia region of Spain, where people thought of orchards as healing places. With so many options it’s hard to narrow it down, but here are our picks for the five best treatments at the Four-Star Beverly Hills spa:
1. The Surrender treatment takes a full day, but it’s worth it. The customized treatment includes a consultation with a highly trained therapist who will design a day of pampering just for you using techniques found on the spa menu — as well as some exclusive ones that aren’t listed. If you literally don’t want to decide about one more thing — like which treatments to get — this is the way to go. Put yourself entirely in the hands of the skilled staff and completely relax.
2. Spa Montage is known for its anti-aging treatments, particularly its signature facial that helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and firm up skin. The therapists use a powerful oxygen serum that supposedly stimulates the production of collagen and elastin (both of which start to wane with age). A marine mask hydrates and further helps firm skin. You’ll leave looking years younger.
3. If you enjoy water-based treatments, the Essential Waters treatment is for you. You’ll take a bath spiked with oils of neroli, bergamot and sandalwood as your therapist performs a water pressure massage. This is followed by another massage that involves long-strokes and a warm oil, an exfoliation treatment and a revitalizing Vichy Shower Rain Therapy, which involves alternating blasts of cool and warm water.
4. The Three Bowls purification therapy uses mud and clay from Morocco and Spain. The treatment involves the application of three different muds and clays, each of which involves a foot, hand and scalp massage and a Vichy shower rain therapy. A wonderful tangerine-fig body crème is applied at the end. Your skin will feel super soft.
5. Taking its cues from a serene orchard, the Anointing treatment is a wonderful massage that focuses on your body’s energy centers. The massage involves the aromatic essence of rose and a mixture of broad circular strokes, light stretching, focused breathing and a deep scalp massage to make you feel totally relaxed. This treatment also ends with an invigorating Vichy shower.

Spa Montage offers several wraps that use minerals and botanical ingredients to help remove impurities and leave your skin feeling fresh and glowing. Specially prepared mud and clay treatments are performed in the ritual suite, where you’ll find heated chaise lounges, as well as in the Vichy suites where couples can experience mud wraps together.
If you’ve been a little hard on your body, detox with the Three Bowls purification treatment. The invigorating treatment involves foot, hand and scalp massages, rain showers and mud and clay from Morocco and Spain to leave your skin feeling brand new. The glorious treatment ends with the application of a tangerine and fig body cream that we always want to take home with us.
For a more personalized treatment, opt for the Elements of Earth wrap. A therapist will talk with you about your concerns and customize your body scrub accordingly. Think of it as being wrapped in warm and organic cocoon of ingredients that are drawing out all those bad toxins. A scalp massage and refreshing Vichy shower are also involved. At the end, you pick the body cream you want to seal the deal with.
We’ll admit, the body sculpting treatment might sound weird at first. When we hear things like “connective tissue therapy” and “cellular waste,” we get a little skeptical. But we were sold when we were told it would “lower fluid retention.” Heck, we’ll do anything to reduce bloating and de-stress at the same time. The cool mud mask and gel is super nourishing — and we might have felt a little lighter afterward.
Our favorite might be the Fruits of the Orchard wrap and foot bath. The foot bath is an aromatic blend of jasmine, rosehips, bergamot, neroli and sandalwood. This is followed by a lemon blossom, coffee and olive scrub that smells amazing, and there’s more. A rose-clay wrap is next, followed by a conditioning scalp massage, a contrasting temperature Vichy shower rain therapy and that fantastic tangerine-fig body cream.

The interior design of Spa Montage takes its style cues from the ancient Andalusia region of Spain, which is known for its elaborate palaces and Arabic-inspired architecture. You’ll feel like you’re in a Moroccan sanctuary with large vases on the ground, lots of pretty mosaic tiling and large artwork with golden antique frames.
Throughout the Four-Star Beverly Hills spa, you’ll find mostly neutral colors like brown and cream offset by teal, foam green, rust, orange and antique metals. There are skylights that let in warm natural light, as well as ornate lamps and light fixtures that look like hand-painted glass and antique bronze. The countertops in the changing area are made of green and grey marble, while the mirrors in the locker rooms feature golden mosaics surrounded by large golden sconces.
Orchids and other fresh flowers keep the locker room smelling fresh, and the co-ed lounge has a two-story wall made of blue, green, turquoise and teal mosaic tiling. The high ceiling and skylight make the room feel airy and spacious, but still private. The quiet mineral pool area is a great space to spend time with your partner — you’ll find padded wooden lounge chairs lining the wall separated by sheer curtains for added privacy.

Ornate light fixtures colored with tiled glass and antique bronze hang from the ceiling and you’ll find cozy, chenille foam green sofas, lounge chairs and ottomans throughout the room. Burnt orange pillows top the sofas and there are soft white chenille blankets if you’d like to stay warm while you’re relaxing in your robe. Grab a magazine and get cozy by the fireplace.
Along the back wall, you’ll find a marble countertop with refreshments to snack on such as whole fresh fruit, dried apricots, cranberries and raw almonds. If you get thirsty, there’s bottled water, hot tea and delicious strawberry and cucumber-infused ice water that we highly recommend you try. The room is quite cozy — you’ll have no problem kicking off your slippers and relaxing before or after your treatment.

The philosophy at Spa Montage goes beyond simply pampering guests. The spa embodies a holistic approach and hopes that you’ll glean some healthy practices you can adopt at home — without being overbearing or heavy handed about it. After all, the goal is to relax. The spa does this by offering personalized treatments that focus on mind, body and spirit. Each treatment, delivered by a therapist specially trained in holistic wellness, is devoted to understanding how you live and what your body needs to stay healthy.
Located in the upscale neighborhood of Beverly Hills, the luxurious 20,000-square-foot, Four-Star spa features an array of calming and restorative skin and body treatments with an emphasis on hydrotherapy, holistic wellness and anti-aging treatments. Whatever treatment you get, you’ll no doubt feel relaxed and inspired to keep up the self-care. When you start to lose that feeling, you know it’s time to come back. -
Spa Montage offers an array of great amenities to prolong your pampering.
Our robes are custom made from Telegraph Hill and are white terry on the inside and brushed twill on the outside. Our spa sandals are from Oka B and provide substantial support. We offer dark brown sandals for men and white sandals for ladies.

The relaxation area at Spa Montage is a soothing space that takes its style cues from the Andalusia region of Spain. You’ll find neutral colors and a large skylight window that lets in plenty of natural light. There are Moroccan-inspired light fixtures colored with tiled glass and antique bronze, as well as vases, plants, sofas, lounge chairs and ottomans spread throughout the room.
A fireplace keeps the relaxation area toasty warm, while soft white chenille blankets and burnt-orange pillows give the space a cozy feel. Magazines are stacked on the coffee table to read while you wait and there are snacks along the back wall to munch on, such as fresh fruit, dried apricots, cranberries and raw almonds. If you get thirsty, grab a bottle of water, sip some hot tea or try the strawberry and cucumber-infused ice water — it’s sweet, refreshing and delicious.
If you continue walking past the relaxation room you’ll come to the Four-Star spa’s locker rooms, which are pretty and spacious. They feature the same relaxing neutral brown tones you’ll see throughout the spa and are kept immaculately clean. There are rows of lockers where you can store your belongings, plus benches, private changing rooms, bathrooms, showers and a vanity area. On the counter you’ll find all the amenities you need to help you get ready after your treatment, including blow-dryers, shower caps, bath products, cotton buds, mouthwash and lotion. There are also smaller vanities by each row of lockers if you’d prefer to dry your hair or apply products there.
In the back of the locker rooms you’ll find a whirlpool tub, a rejuvenating herbal steam room, a sauna and Swiss and deluge showers. Chaise lounge chairs are available if you’d like to lie back and take a catnap. You’ll also find bottled water, chilled water and plenty of fresh towels back there. -
Our spa has a Moroccan-inspired décor, featuring teak lounge chairs and Moroccan-themed artwork, lanterns and hand-laid green and blue glass tiles.
-
As you get off the elevator and walk toward the entrance of Spa Montage, you’ll see two large brass doors engraved with Moroccan designs and a mosaic-tiled pot. These welcome you to the main spa reception desk, which is at the back of the spa boutique. To the right of the boutique you’ll find the Kim Vō Salon and then the fitness center. Walk through the boutique to the reception desk, where you’ll check in for your appointment, and another attendant at the Four-Star spa will lead you back to either the men’s or women’s locker rooms. You’ll check in here, too, and another spa attendant will get you situated with a locker and give you a quick tour of the locker room and wet areas. Get changed and head to the relaxation area to wait for your therapist to pick you up for your treatment.
-
Walk into the locker room at Spa Montage (either the men’s or women’s) and you’ll find a Jacuzzi in an area in the back of the lockers and dressing areas. Next to the Jacuzzi sits a sauna and steam room along with a Swiss shower and deluge showers. If you’re heading to the spa with your significant other, you’ll have to spend time in the co-ed relaxation area that features a mineral pool with a large skylight above it. There are also chaise lounge chairs (grouped in twos, closed off by curtains) on which you can relax together. The spaces are sleek and clean with green and blue mosaic tiles, making for a lovely and relaxing spot. You’ll find plenty of towels to dry off with and plenty of water bottles to keep you hydrated as you move throughout the Four-Star spa.
-
Spa Montage, located at the Five-Star Montage Beverly Hills hotel, opened in 2008, so it hasn’t been renovated. You’ll find the Four-Star facilities look like new with Moroccan-inspired mosaic tiles, bright skylights and neutral tones on the walls and furnishings. The entire hotel is LEED gold certified, thanks to the building’s dedication to sustainability, including energy-efficient systems, a high recycling rate and construction using local building materials.

The best way to buy a gift certificate for the Four-Star Spa Montage is to purchase it through the Montage Beverly Hills website. In addition to purchasing options, you can check the card’s balance, reload it and protect it in case it’s lost or stolen. Gift cards are available in denominations from $50 to $1,000, so you can give everything from short facials to indulgent all-day packages. You can also purchase gift cards at the spa’s front desk or by calling the spa directly, though it’s super easy to do it online.

To get a treatment at Spa Montage, wear something comfortable that’s easy to change out of — you’ll want to get into your cozy white robe and slippers as soon as possible. After you check in, a spa attendant will show you to the locker rooms at the Four-Star Beverly Hills spa, where you’ll find rows of lockers to store your belongings and private changing rooms where you can put on your sleek robe with a super soft interior and flip flops with traction on the bottom, so you won’t slip in the wet areas of the spa. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit so you can enjoy the co-ed mineral soaking pool surrounded by mosaic tiles or take advantage of the locker room amenities, including a sauna, herbal steam room and whirlpool tub.

Spa Montage offers facials to children of any age, but they must be at least 16 to receive a massage or body treatment by themselves. Children under 16 can still get massages or body treatments, but a parent or guardian must accompany them. The Four-Star spa offers an array of targeted massages, relaxing facials and water therapies, as well as manicures and pedicures, waxing and makeup application. If your kid has a special event coming up, Spa Montage is a great one-stop shop for pampering.
-
If you’re looking for some extra pampering during your stay in Beverly Hills, Spa Montage offers in-room treatments at the Five-Star Montage Beverly Hills hotel. Massages, body treatments and facials can all be done in your hotel room as long as there is space. If you’re staying in a larger room or a suite, the Four-Star spa can do two or more massages at the same time, though it’s difficult to do side-by-side massages in a regular guest room. Just call the spa concierge to reserve a time and treatment and he or she can accommodate your needs.
-
If you find yourself hungry and thirsty after a massage, don’t worry, Spa Montage provides plenty of refreshments. Water or a snack is always in reach — refreshments are provided in the waiting room, locker room, gym and upon exiting the luxurious spa. Nosh on snacks like fresh fruit, dried apricots, cranberries and raw almonds in the waiting room, which has a Moroccan-inspired décor with a mosaic-tiled fireplace, satin pillows and ornate tiled light fixtures. On the back counter of the room, you’ll find bottled water, individual bags of tea and a refreshing strawberry and cucumber-infused ice water. In the locker room, bottled and chilled water is kept in the back by the sauna, steam room and whirlpool. The gym, open to hotel guests, provides fresh fruit and bottled water as well.
After your treatment you’ll also be given a yummy antioxidant snack mix of goji berries, dark chocolate chips and almond slivers made by Montage Beverly Hill’s executive pastry chef. It’s a little farewell present that lets you know the spa takes seriously its mission to encourage you to make healthy habits at home. -
Spa Montage therapists participate in a rigorous year-long training program to become certified by the American Spa Therapy Education Certification Council, which allows them to make customized and personalized recommendations for spa-goers in body therapy, fitness, skin care or nutrition.
The Four-Star Beverly Hills spa focuses on holistic wellbeing and offers treatments that bring balance. When you get a treatment here, your therapist will explain everything she or he does, making you feel at ease and demonstrating extensive professional knowledge (without talking your ear off). Your therapist will also make suggestions as to what your body or skin needs to help you choose the perfect facial or massage. A therapist recently sent us home with a sample product made of paprika and other natural ingredients to help rid under-eye dark circles. We loved being given the option to try out a product before purchasing it. -
Guests of Spa Montage who stay overnight at Montage Beverly Hills have complimentary access to the Five-Star hotel’s fitness center. It’s accessible through the main entrance and gift shop of the spa, so you can scoot over for a workout before or after your massage.
The gym is spacious with a large Pilates and yoga studio, free weights and plenty of cardio equipment, each equipped with personal TVs and headphones so you can plug in your iPod. Group fitness classes — such as body sculpting, indoor cycling and hip hop — are available for $25 and personal training or one-on-one yoga and Pilates training is available at $125 an hour. The facility is well-lit with floor-to-ceiling windows. Don’t worry about bringing anything to the gym with you: Complimentary towels, magazines, newspapers, bottled water and fresh fruit are all provided. -
Spa Montage offers a co-ed mineral soaking pool that’s available to all guests on the third floor of the spa. -
Spa Montage’s offers a range of nail services to get you polished and ready for your Beverly Hills outings.
You will be offered a therapist gender choice at Spa Montage, a Four-Star spa sanctuary set in an ancient Andalusia-inspired setting at Montage Beverly Hills hotel. When you call to book your appointment or make a reservation online, you’ll be given the option of a male or female therapist. All therapists have participated in a rigorous yearlong training program to become certified by the American Spa Therapy Education Certification Council. The therapists at Spa Montage will make you feel at ease with their professional command of the spa menu — which includes facials, signature massages and water therapies — as well as skin care and body nutrition. Our knowledgeable therapist even sent us home with a sample product made of natural ingredients like paprika to help rid under-eye circles.

Before or after you relax at Spa Montage, you can head to any of the restaurants within the Five-Star Montage Beverly Hills hotel for lunch and breakfast. At The Conservatory Grill on the rooftop, you can order a healthy salad or sandwich for lunch from options such as winter greens with cranberries, toasted pumpkin seeds, Manchego cheese and maple vinaigrette or a whole wheat pita stuffed with avocado, jicama, beets, carrot and lemon dressing. The Conservatory Grill also serves up a tasty breakfast with dishes such as steel-cut oatmeal, a berry and yogurt parfait topped with housemade granola or the Spa omelet made with egg whites, tomato, avocado, asparagus, spinach and chèvre.
The hotel’s lobby lounge serves breakfast as well as afternoon tea with tasty finger sandwiches such as turkey, fig and mascarpone on sourdough or hummus, grilled carrots and pressed olive oil on lavash.
If you’re looking for something more indulgent, head to Scarpetta, the hotel’s Four-Star Italian restaurant, where you can enjoy lunch or Sunday brunch. There are pasta and salad options as well as some vegetarian-friendly “primi piatti,” such as the ginger-scented charred figs served with baby greens, goat cheese, pickled plum vinaigrette and crispy prosciutto.
You can also book the Spa Montage Soiree, and have lunch or afternoon tea served in your group’s private relaxation room with a fireplace. A great option for birthday, bridal or bachelorette parties, the soiree includes hour-long treatments for everyone in your group.

Spa Montage offers an array of soothing massages that can be customized to release every bit of tension and leave you feeling totally revitalized.
Spa Montage offers several wraps that use minerals and botanical ingredients to help remove impurities and leave your skin feeling fresh and glowing.
Spa Montage offers personalized, unique treatments you won’t find anywhere else, including an array of water-, earth- and orchard-inspired therapies.
Any of the massages or body treatments at Spa Montage can be done for couples. Facials are the only treatments that can’t be done in tandem. Located in Beverly Hills, the Four-Star Spa Montage offers a range of soothing massages such as the signature Montage massage that incorporates botanical oils and hot, scented herbal towels or a reflexology massage that uses alternating thumb pressure to improve circulation. If you and your partner want to opt for an indulgent treatment together, go for the Three Bowls: A Therapy of Purification. It starts with the application of three muds and clays from Morocco and Spain, continues with a foot, hand and scalp massage followed by a rain shower therapy and ends with an application of tangerine-fig body cream.
-
If you want to stimulate your senses as well as relax your body, several massages offered at Spa Montage include the use of essential oils and aromatherapy. If you’re looking for a customized approach, try A Personal Journey, which uses ancient foot reflexology and a custom blend of scented essential oils applied with delicate strokes along key nerve pathways to alleviate stress. The Body Specifics massage also incorporates scents to invoke a sense of calm and relaxation — cardamom and amber botanical oils will transport you and leave your skin glowing.
For a tried and true treatment, go for the Montage Massage, which uses a mix of techniques from all over the world, a custom blend of organic botanical oils and hot, scented herbal towels. If you’re looking for a truly sensual experience, go for the Anointing treatment, which uses an infusion of rose essence to put you in a state of deep relaxation while your therapist applies broad, circular strokes and gives you a deep-conditioning scalp massage. For those who like a mix of hydrotherapy and aromatherapy, the Essential Waters treatment is for you. You’ll float in a relaxing bath infused with essences of neroli, bergamot and sandalwood as your therapist performs a water pressure massage and then a long-stroke warm oil massage.
For a sensory experience that includes soothing scents from start to finish, try the Four-Star spa’s Fruits of the Orchard treatment. It begins with an aromatic foot bath scented with jasmine, rosehips, bergamot, neroli and sandalwood, continues with a lemon blossom, coffee and olive scrub, a rose clay wrap and a deep-conditioning scalp massage. Top that off with a rain shower and an application of hydrating tangerine-fig cream, and you’ll be in heaven. -
Kids under the age of 16 can get any of the massages or body treatments at Spa Montage as long as they have a parent or guardian present. There is no age requirement to receive a facial, and teens over 16 can get a massage or body treatment by themselves. If your child is very active, a good choice would be the Body Specifics massage, which uses a blend of cardamom and amber botanical oils to get circulation flowing. The massage targets stiff joints and aching muscles to relieve tension and can be focused either on the neck and shoulder or hips and lower back, depending on your little athlete’s needs. The Four-Star Beverly Hills spa also offers manicures and pedicures, waxing, makeup application and a special facial just for guys if you child has a prom or other special event on the horizon.
-
Spa Montage offers two touch therapies that use acupressure to relieve tension in the body by targeting specific pressure points. The Reflexology treatment, which is available in 30- or 60-minute intervals, uses an ancient healing technique that originated in Egypt more than 4,000 years ago. Your therapist at the Four-Star spa will use alternating thumb pressure to stimulate the reflex pathways in your feet, bringing harmony to your body. The Personal Journey treatment also uses ancient foot reflexology techniques, as well as a custom blend of essential oils, which are delicately applied to the body using strokes along nerve pathways. The 90-minute treatment is designed to break stress patterns in the body, putting you in a deep state of relaxation.
-
In addition to massages, facials and water therapies, Spa Montage offers an array of salon treatments to pamper you from your hands to your feet. If you’re preparing for a special occasion, the spa offers makeup application as well as a full range of waxing services. Nail treatments are available from SpaRitual, a company known for its vegan-friendly, paraben-free polishes that come in more than 80 cool shades. Go classic with a French manicure or indulge in an Aura Balance hand or foot ritual. Slough away dry skin on your hands and feet with micro-algae and mineral salt infused with ginger. Then for maximum hydration, your therapist will apply a blend of essential oils, aloe, shea butter, sesame oil, olive oil and avocado.
Head to the salon (next door to the Four-Star spa) for haircuts, coloring and updos by renowned hairstylist Kim Vō. For extra pampering, you can also get specialty treatments like a deep-conditioning hair mask and hair extensions. Vō’s salon at Montage Beverly Hills is his flagship location, so you’re likely to run into him. E! News viewers will recognize him from his multiple appearances as a hair stylist and colorist to stars like Britney Spears, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson and Gerard Butler. On our recent visit, he was standing at the front desk looking just like the perky stylist we’ve seen on TV, ready to greet us with a wave and a smile. -
Spa Montage offers three scrub treatments that are sure to leave your skin feeling refreshed. The Botanicals of the Orchard scrub starts with a consultation with your therapist, who will customize your scrub using organic, nutrient-rich ingredients from Spain and Morocco and salt from the Dead Sea. After your scrub, you’ll get a cleansing rain shower and a hydrating body cream application that will send you into nirvana.
The Fruits of the Orchard treatment starts with a footbath scented with jasmine, rosehips, bergamot, neroli and sandalwood and continues with an invigorating lemon blossom, coffee and olive scrub. A rose clay wrap, a deep-conditioning scalp massage, a Vichy shower rain therapy and an application of moisturizing tangerine-fig cream come next — an indulgent combination that takes care of all your skin’s needs.
The Elements of the Earth wrap at the Four-Star spa also includes a body scrub, though it starts with a consultation with your therapist so he or she can customize the scrub and the wrap that follows, choosing from a range of organic and herbal ingredients. After the wrap draws out impurities, you’ll receive a scalp massage, a refreshing Vichy rain shower and conclude the treatment with a body cream selected just for your skin. -
We offer a Gentleman’s Executive Facial using an organic “wild crafted” skincare line called ISUN. It is available in 30-, 60- or 90-minute sessions.
-
Spa Montage has not any treatments to its spa menu since it opened in 2008, but it began offering seasonal treatments in January 2012. The Four-Star spa will offer a new treatment every quarter that features a different goal and blend of products to complement the time of year. For example, in the spring the treatment will help hydrate your skin after a long winter, and in the summer, the treatment will help you get ready for swimsuit weather.
