What makes The Mansion on Peachtree different from other Five-Star hotels?
The Mansion on Peachtree feels like a fine, contemporary European-style home with art deco flair — not so much a stuffy, generic hotel. The courtyard-style valet entrance to the hotel features a deconstructed, fan-like awning, a grand entrance to the boutique hotel.
At check-in, you’ll grab a fresh Georgia peach from a bowl (when in season) while a peach-scented candle lingers in the lobby area. Seasonal flowers are the first to greet you in the foyer of the hotel. Expect dogwood and magnolia blossoms when in season, and finely tended orchids year round.
The Italian black and white marbled space is art deco-inspired with light European touches. Crisp white lampshades and sconces play off the soft beiges and simple artwork. Sleek, dark brown leather club chairs surround a fireplace in the circular lobby lounge, the marble floors gathering in an art deco star shape, opening up to the English Garden.

The Mansion on Peachtree has a 60-foot, indoor, climate-controlled lap pool on the third floor.
The pool area is simple and unadorned. Large open windows allow natural light to bounce off the clear blue waters, revealing an art deco diamond-patterned pool floor.
The lounge chairs are wooden framed and thickly cushioned. There are no poolside amenities, other than access a menu, though no regular attendant or serving staff oversees the area. You’ll have to arrange for poolside munchies ahead of time by dialing #7510. The poolside menu presents hearty fare like Southern fried chicken, an Angus beef burger or a roasted turkey club sandwich. For something lighter, try a fresh fruit plate or Caprese salad.
Note that there is no outside pool deck, but you are free to explore the other wet facilities at 29 Spa, just one floor below. Steal away in the secluded, beautifully tiled and dimly lit whirlpool, steam room and sauna. -
The Mansion on Peachtree’s 127 guestrooms are priced differently from day to day, with weekend rooms running around $230 and up and weekday rooms around $360 and up.
Italian marble bathrooms, Macassar ebony furnishings and 100 percent cotton bed and bath linens comes standard to all rooms. But the wow factor is a framed piece of art on your bed-facing wall that retracts to reveal a 37-inch LCD TV. Turn on the TV to find a personalized welcome message. -
The five things we love most about The Mansion on Peachtree speak to the cultivated sense of place — part art deco grandeur, part contemporary European-style maison.
1. The sunlight. Natural light spills through The Mansion on Peachtree due to its large open-format windows. The sunlight livens up the soft beiges and plays off the Italian black and white marble floors, creating a peaceful at-home feel.
2. The décor: The sleek contemporary Macassar ebony furnishings in guestrooms are still approachable enough for you to crash on or kick your feet up on—and you better, because you may not want to leave your room after you discover your hidden TV. Hint: The framed piece of art on your bed-facing wall retracts (remote on bed stand) to reveal a 37-inch LCD TV. Turn it on for your personalized welcome message.
3. Love of seasons. The Mansion on Peachtree minds the seasons. At their peak, peaches fill bowls at the front desk of the hotel, accentuated by a peach-scented candle burning throughout the lobby. In the spring, dogwood and magnolia blossoms adorn the foyer, the first whiff upon your entrance into the deconstructed art deco awning entrance. No matter the season, you can count on expertly tended orchids year round. During the holidays, The Mansion on Peachtree transforms into a sparkly, garlanded home, complete with Christmas cookies at night with turndown.
4. The skincare line: The 29 Collection is the luxury grape seed, antioxidant-rich product line that stocks all the bathrooms in the hotel, regardless of whether you’re staying in a suite or regular guestroom. Inspired by Highway 29 that runs through Napa Valley, Lydia Mondavi, a fifth-generation Atlanta native created a line of skin care that centers on the healing powers of grape seed extract—clinically shown to be 20 times more efficient than Vitamin C and 50 times more efficient than Vitamin E in ridding the skin of free radicals. Without leaving your room, you get a taste of the hotel spa’s rejuvenating atmosphere.
5. The garden. The English Garden is a sublime space to steal away during your stay. The courtyard-style garden features a stone path, greenery-covered arches, simple benches, tables and chairs, the chef’s herb garden, a peaceful pond and stunning Hydrangea paniculata flowers pruned into the shape of trees. -
Five things you should know about The Mansion on Peachtree are its female-friendly design style, some audio-visual limitations, the transient bar, the hidden TV in your guestroom and how to enjoy the exquisite English garden.
1. Art deco stylings and contemporary, sleek furnishings attract both genders, but there’s a nuanced style about The Mansion on Peachtree that perhaps appeals more to women. Year round, expertly tended orchids adorn the public areas, while pruned Hydrangeas paniculata in the garden add to the grown-up fairy land. Meanwhile, just a few paces away in The Mansion Lounge, sip away at femme-power martinis created by a mixologist. Try the signature Lady Sapphire, made with Bombay Sapphire Gin and Chamomile tea, settling into the eggplant purples and violets of The Mansion Lounge. Events at The Mansion on Peachtree also cater to women’s tastes. The last Thursday of every month, the hotel invites a local designer for a trunk show. Enjoy complimentary cocktails and small plates from The Café. For a full-on girls weekend, opt for the Girls’ Getaway Package, which includes accommodation, food and beverage credit, an Eternal Rose cocktail, lunch and a facial at 29 Spa.
2. You need no primer to enjoy the hotel’s English Garden. The beautifully pruned flowers, peaceful pond and greenery-laced archways are a perfect place to steal away. But in case you need another excuse to take in in its grandeur, enjoy a movie in the garden, two to three times each spring and fall. The hotel sets up a big screen over the pond, almost a dive-in movie.
3. The hotel’s bar has a bit of an identity crisis. Formerly housed in The Mansion Lounge, it has since moved to The Café, a lovely granite sprawl. While only a short distance away on the main level, The Mansion Lounge presents a great arena for social drinking, too, but it doesn’t have its own bar. It’s a dim, yet spacious room with semi-circular nooks, black leathers and eggplant velvet arm chairs, sofas and ottomans and verdant views of the garden. To order a signature martini, just get the attention of a cocktail server, who can run the drinks from The Café to you.
4. The Mansion on Peachtree is business-friendly in a basic sense. It offers fine conference, meeting and boardrooms, wireless access, videoconferencing, a work space in your guestroom, a modest business center, as well as last-minute presentation supplies and assistance. However, the audio-visual department does not loan out laptops or eReaders, and there is no fax machine in the business center, although you can seek assistance from the front desk for faxing.
5. When you first walk into your guestroom, you might be disappointed when you don’t see a TV. But then you’ll notice a remote by your bed with an up-down button—which controls a retractable oil-style painting on the wall facing your bed, revealing a 37-inch LCD TV. The TV is a perk, but if you need coffee to perk you up in the morning, you better ask the concierge for a coffee maker, as they do not come standard to rooms. -
The Mansion on Peachtree’s style merges art deco shapes with European touches; it is light and airy and homelike.
The hotel exterior sings with art deco grandeur, as 42 residential stories stretch above the Mansion itself. A deconstructed, fan-like awning welcomes guests to the secluded, courtyard entrance to the hotel — a mingling of European and art deco styles.
Once inside the hotel, beautifully tended orchids are lined up on a simple foyer table. Swirling through the black and white marbles floors, natural light spills through large, open-format windows from the English Garden create an airy vibe, making you feel light-hearted and carefree.
The Mansion on Peachtree strives to create a sense of place — a homelike atmosphere, rather than a generic, stuffy space. But we’re not talking about a “home sweet home” vibe, but rather an upscale, private residence with plenty of cozy reading nooks. This home is a mansion, with crisp white lampshades, stainless steel accents, Goliath-sized windows and views matched with chocolate leather-studded warmth from club chairs and well-oiled, Macassar ebony furnishings.
