Where is The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino located?
The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino is located at 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas. The Four-Star mega-resort is at attached to the Venetian Hotel Resort Casino and sits toward the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, so you’ll pass by the MGM Grand, Bellagio and Caesar’s Palace before you arrive here. The easiest way to get to the Venetian/Palazzo complex is by cab, though you can take the Las Vegas Monorail and get off at the Harrah’s/Imperial Palace stop and walk a couple minutes north to your final destination. Still, we’d recommend taking a cab or arranging for car service if you have any bags — you don’t want to fall victim to the Vegas heat as soon as you get here.

The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino has a whole host of things to enjoy (restaurants, a world-class spa, stellar shopping and a whole lot more). But we narrowed the long list down to five essential things you need to know about this Las Vegas mega-resort:
1. The Prestige. For an additional fee, you can add the Prestige Package to your stay, which grants you access to the 23rd-floor Prestige Lounge at the hotel, continental breakfasts, a cocktail reception, daily newspaper delivery, access to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub gyms and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access.
2. The subdued theme. While the Palazzo’s sister resort, The Venetian, plays heavily on its name — there’s a canal with bridges and gondoliers — the Palazzo takes a more subdued approach to luxury. You’ll certainly feel as if you’re in a palace, but this Four-Star hotel focuses more on offering you perks without the flash.
3. The upscale shopping. While the Venetian has the Canal Shoppes, the Palazzo has a more upscale boutique shopping experience. Fendi, Coach and other of the tip-top designers call the Palazzo home.
4. The steakhouses. Here’s a tip worth salivating over: You won’t need to leave the Palazzo to get some of the best steaks in the world. Cut by Wolfgang Puck and Carnevino by Mario Batali are housed here.
5. The seven pools. The Four-Star resort offers a whopping seven pools for you to experience. Not impressed? Head over to the connecting Venetian Hotel Resort Casino for three more.

The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino offers a number of different options for connected rooms. The Lago Two Bedroom Suites should have all the room you’ll need and then some. Just as the name says, you’ll have two separate bedrooms: one with a king-sized bed and master bath and another with two queen-sized beds and its own bath. A living room separates the two bedrooms, and you’ll find TVs in all three rooms. Almost all rooms include couches that pull out into full-size beds. If that’s not enough space, just ask the booking agent about reserving conjoining rooms; with thousands of rooms, the Palazzo has multiple configurations available depending on the size of your group.

There’s a slew of romantic spots at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino, but we’ve narrowed it down to two lovely options: a private table at Lavo and a patio table at Morels. The palatial Lavo will feel much more romantic before the hotspot turns into a thumping nightclub. Book a private table and soak in all the ambience while it’s still quiet enough to hear your partner speak. At Morels, book a patio table in the corner that will allow you privacy to talk as well as tons of interesting people-watching while you enjoy the very fine French food.

It would be easy to say the Penthouse Suites at The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino, at 2,900 square feet apiece, are the best rooms to stay in, but we actually liked the Siena Suite for a lone traveler or a couple. While all the rooms in the hotels are suites, the Siena are the first level of suites to have a door separating the living room space from the bedroom space, providing a nice division of space. These 1,280-square-foot suites also include a separate powder room by the entryway, dining area, full-sized sleeper sofa and all the amenities you’d find in a standard suite.
But if you plan to entertain, you might opt for one of the Lago suites, which span 1,943 square feet and have plenty of room for more than a few revelers.

The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino offers a variety of dining options, with food courts, fine dining and everything in between. Here’s our list of the five best things to eat and drink at the Palazzo:
1. Bone marrow flan. Cut serves fantastic steaks, but good luck finding a bone marrow flan dish anywhere else. The dish comes with mushroom marmalade and parsley salad in a striking presentation; you’ll eat the flan straight out of the bone with a little spoon, and you can soak up all the goodies with a brioche that comes along for the ride.
2. Cheese and charcuteri. The French know a thing or two about cheese and meats, and Morels French Steakhouse lives up to that standard. The charcuterie comes with cornichons, whole grain mustard and cocktail onions.
3. Ribeye. Simply put, Carnevino prepares a juicy, dry-aged ribeye so good it will remind you why you’re not a vegetarian.
4. Sea bass. The roasted Chilean sea bass at Lavo will make you want to come to the hotspot well before regular nightclub hours; the perfectly prepared fish comes with fresh heirloom tomatoes, butter and crispy portobello mushrooms.
5. Pisco Punch. At SUSHISAMBA, the bartenders take the traditional Peruvian drink, the pisco sour (made with Macchu Pisco and egg white), and add a twist of mango and lime zest. It’s a simple drink made supremely exotic.

The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino has the kind of beds you expect of a resort of this size and stature — king-sized. They come standard in all rooms at the Four-Star resort, even the most basic. Expect a custom-made Sealy pillow-top mattress blanketed with white Egyptian cotton sheets, a 400-count wool throw and super soft pillows.
Reading lights above the headboard make it easy to see if you choose to knock back a novel before nodding off, and the stylish headboard and upholstered bench make you feel more like you’re at home than in a hotel. On either side of the bed you’ll have nightstands with lamps and a digital clock on one side.
And if you find you can’t live without the bed you’ve become accustomed to at the Palazzo, you can purchase the custom-made Sealy mattress to bring home.

The concierge at The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino can arrange more things than you can probably conjure up in an afternoon. Booking show tickets, car services and reserving tables at the best restaurants in town are second nature to the concierge staff. While we were in Las Vegas the concierge set up two tickets to see Jersey Boys for us, plus a dinner at Morels afterwards. (We even landed a coveted corner table outdoors). The next day the concierge booked us on Maverick Tours’ Wind Dancer excursion, which features a helicopter ride around Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and a dip into the Grand Canyon.
The staff at The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino speaks between 30 and 50 languages at any given time, with a team of about 8,000 — so you’ll be able to find someone to talk to no matter from where you hail.

The Palazzo Hotel Resort Casino does charge a resort fee, but it’s a relatively small price to pay for all that it includes. For every night of your stay, you’ll pay a $17 resort fee that gets you newspaper delivery, access to the gyms at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Wi-Fi access. And while you will have access to the gym and locker rooms at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, you’ll have to pay an additional $40 to use the wet areas inside.
Beyond the resort fee, you won’t see any hidden fees, but we do recommend opting into the Prestige Level at the Palazzo for an extra touch of luxury. This entitled you to a private champagne at check-in, access to the Prestige Lounge on the 23rd floor of the Palazzo, a cocktail reception, access to Canyon Ranch SpaClub, admission to Azure and a continental breakfast. The resort’s frequent promotion packages can net you even more perks such as limo services and spa credits. To use the wet areas, you’ll need to purchase a separate Canyon Ranch SpaClub Passport, which costs $40 for one day, $110 for three days, or $150 for five days. If you schedule a treatment at the spa, the passport will cost you an additional $20 for one day. But a regular workout and shower won’t cost you any extra (beyond the automatic resort fee).

Keep in mind that access to the gym only includes the workout areas and locker rooms; you won’t get access to the wet areas of the spa.
