Where is the Regent Beijing located?

If you think location is king, then the Four-Star Regent Beijing is a good choice. Located at 99 Jinbao St. and nestled among the thriving commercial and tourist district of Wangfujing, the neighborhood couldn’t be better for a luxury hotel that walks the fence between contemporary design and traditional Chinese charm. With the ancient Forbidden City and historic Tiananmen Square just a few blocks away, designer brand shops across the street and international crowds scattered in between, the hotel fits seamlessly into the fusion of East and West. Contradictions abound in this sleek hotel, and those happy to bridge the two worlds will feel right at home.

  • The cancellation policy at the Regent Beijing varies depending on the room type and the promotion booked. Most guestrooms require at least one day’s notice to cancel or modify a booking in order to avoid a penalty fee of one night’s stay. But some rooms can be found with a very low commitment from you — sometimes the Four-Star hotel will let you cancel a reservation if you call by 6 p.m. on the first day of your scheduled arrival. That’s great news for the non-committal and business travelers whose plans often change at the last minute. A word of warning though: Be sure to read the fine print before booking.
  • If you’re checking in to the Regent Beijing, you’re in for a ride — a taxi from Beijing Capital International Airport will take anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour (expect to pay around 100+ RMB, including the toll fee). Travelers looking for a little more comfort on the road can book an array of luxury vehicles through the hotel, including an Audi A6L for 500 RMB to a Rolls Royce for 1,000 RMB. And if you’re on a budget, consider the high-speed Airport Express subway. Exit at Donzhimen station, then transfer to Line 2 to head to the Yonghegong station. Another transfer to Line 5 to Dengshikou will take you right to the hotel.
  • The Regent Beijing enjoys close proximity to shopping malls, historic sites and, conveniently, a train station. Beijing Railway Station, the city’s main hub for rail transportation, is just down the road from the Four-Star hotel, less than ten minutes by taxi away (although there’s no accounting for the traffic in the famously congested city). Alternatively, if you’re hoping to find a subway station nearby you are in luck — the Dengshikou station, on Line 5, is located just beneath the hotel making it a convenient choice to travel Beijing.
  • Hidden in the labyrinthine underground corridors of the Regent Beijing is a large indoor lap pool, temperature-controlled throughout the year. There is no natural light in the pool area, but there are some natural elements like the textured stone walls and a ceiling bedecked with thin wood slats. In fact, with row upon row of plush lounging beds and sexy low lighting, the room feels like a secret grotto. Towels are readily available, while fresh fruit juice, vegetable juice and healthy snacks are served at an adjacent juice bar. And to complete your hydrotherapy experience, stone-surrounded Jacuzzis and plunge pools are also available on a complimentary basis.
