A spa experience is not complete without plenty of amenities; and at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Austin, you won’t have to look hard to find these little extras. You’ll stumble upon amenity after amenity around each corner you turn. Here’s our list of our five favorite amenities at the Spa at Four Seasons Austin:
1. Eucalyptus-infused steam rooms. Whether you are coming in from a tough jog on the Lady Bird Lake trail or simply wanting to relax before your spa treatment, you’ll be in heaven in the eucalyptus-infused steam room. As you calm your senses in this tranquil steam room, feel your muscles melt into relaxation while your skin drinks in the goodness of the eucalyptus.
2. Fitness Center. So, you’ve bettered your mind and soul with your spa treatment; but your muscles are jealous and want to be treated, too. Hit the gym, where you’ll find treadmills, stationary bikes and elliptical trainers, all with their own personal flat-screen TV. Pump some iron with the free weights and several weight machines. All of this while you are overlooking the Texas Live Oaks and Lady Bird Lake; no, it doesn’t get much better than this.
3. Spa happy hour. Join locals and fellow hotel guests in the Four-Star spa for quite a special treat. With $50 off any 50- or 80-minute service, you can sip on sparkling wine, nosh on light bites and even receive complimentary parking. Enjoy this fabulous amenity Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
4. Room with a view. Four of the eight treatment rooms in the spa flaunt floor-to-ceiling windows (with drapes of course) that create the perfect canvas for the lush backdrop. As you are relishing in your deep tissue massage, you can gaze out onto the property’s lawn overlooking Lade Bird Lake, spotted with Texas Live Oaks. Though we can’t promise that you’ll be in one of these rooms, you have a 50-50 chance; so keep your fingers crossed or just request it when you are booking your treatment.
5. Boutique. We tend to fall in love with the products used during our treatments, especially at the Spa at Four Seasons Austin. Whether you are getting a facial, body wrap, scrub or massage, you’ll likely adore the all-natural products. There’s no need to worry because when you check out at the end of your treatment, you’ll find all of the products along the wall calling your name to buy them. -
You may be thinking that spa days are solely for the lady guests, but think again: The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Austin offers a variety of specialized treatments that are just for the gentlemen. Whether it’s a facial or a pedicure that your lady friend has been pestering you to get, you can feel completely comfortable indulging in one of the several manly treatments at this Four-Star spa.
The Skin Fitness Facial is designed specifically for, you guessed it, the male complexion. Targeting those moisture-deficient spots, you’ll come out of this facial feeling replenished and your skin’s thirst quenched. This 50-minute treatment cleanses, clarifies and super-hydrates the face, which is perfect for the average male.
Of course we understand that you may not want to jump right into the Yellow Rose of Texas Body Wrap, but that doesn’t mean that you have to forgo the body treatments altogether. With the Natural Spice Body Buff, you’ll get that much needed exfoliation without the womanly aromas. The cinnamon, nutmeg and almond blend is just enough to buff your body while still retaining your manly vibe.
For those stressed-out guys, treat yourself to the Detoxifying Back Treatment. With a full 50-minutes that are focused solely on your back, you’ll be jumping for joy when you are through with this treatment. The mud mask loosens your tight muscles while ridding your body of its toxins. Once your muscles are relaxed, a back, neck and shoulder massage lifts you to a whole new level of goodness.
The final treatment is one that all men need, but most refuse to even try. The Gentleman’s Nail Buff gets your hands looking better than they ever have. The energy-balancing hand massage kicks off the treatment, which is followed by cuticle and nail shaping (if you don’t know what this is, your nails probably need attention). Top it all off with a bit of buffing and those work-ridden hands will look good as new. Like we said, it’s essential for all men, and especially nice for those who work with their hands. -
Like the rest of its home, the Four-Star Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin reflects the pride of Texas. One look outside at the lush lawn spotted with Texas Live Oaks, and you will completely understand why the spa was designed to be an annex of the hotel’s picturesque location. With the interior design paying homage to the great state of Texas as well as Lady Bird Lake (just steps away), you’ll immediately feel at ease within the walls of the spa.
Even checking in for your treatment is pleasing to the eyes. The floor-to-ceiling water wall, which was custom designed with San Mateo split face and Isis Cream stone, greets you with a tranquil echo of slowly falling water.
The curved hallway of the relaxation room leading the eight treatment rooms will make you feel as if you are stepping on stones on a secret garden path. Creamy gauze drapes create a dreamlike aura as you await your therapist on one of the royal blue chaises. Dotted with lime green accents, the relaxation lounge has a modern, yet very tranquil feel to it.
The zebrawood wall accents are accompanied by calming botanical ceiling canopies in the treatment rooms. Though outside dwellers cannot see in, four of the eight treatment rooms showcase floor-to-ceiling windows, creating the perfect canvas for the stunning backdrop.
The relaxing blend of wood, stone and water transport you from a busy city to a serene oasis. Highlighting some of the best aspects that Texas Hill Country has to offer, this spa is gleaming with peaceful design. -
Tucked away just on the other side of the reception desk at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Austin is a gym waiting to give you a challenging workout. Whether you want to jog on the treadmill, pump some iron with the free weights or channel your inner Lance Armstrong on the stationary bike, this hotel gym has a spot for you. Each of the cardio machines sports a personal flat-screen television to provide you with entertainment, whether it’s ESPN or CNN.
Sure, working out in a hotel gym can be brutal and even though this one is a bit small, you’ll feel better with just one look out the window. As you are getting your heart rate up, gaze out onto the lush lawn that is dotted with Texas Live Oaks. If you look really hard and down the slope, you will spot Lady Bird Lake, the perfect spot for an outdoor workout. If you can take the heat, ditch the gym and jog along the tranquil lake trail. You’ll forget you’re actually burning calories.
