1. Breakfast buffet at Neomi’s: The breakfast buffet, served every Saturday and Sunday, is a grand affair, complete with omelette stations, hot dishes (pancakes, meats and crepes), and plenty of fresh fruit and pastries.

2. Pina Coladas: Gili’s Pool Bar & Grill offers 12 different types of pina coladas to quench your thirst during the hot Florida days. We’re partial to the original, but we hear the various fruit-infused creations are fan favorites.

3. Sushi: Fusion, the hotel’s sushi bar and lounge, offers a variety of fresh sushi and sashimi every day. Don’t miss the chef’s special roll (changes daily) or enjoy the classics, such as the spicy tuna roll.

4. Mac-n-Cheese: The truffle mac-n-cheese from Neomi’s is pure indulgence. For an extreme experience, add a side portion of the restaurant’s truffled mashed potatoes with garlic.

The Trump International Beach Resort has two pools and a private beach available to hotel guests. The pools are located just steps from the beach and both pools offer lounge chairs, umbrellas, towel service and food/beverage service. The pool area also includes hot tubs, fountains and waterfalls for aesthetics, and there’s a bar and grill for eats and treats throughout the day. There are private cabanas available for rent ($150 for poolside; $200 for beachside) that include air-conditioning and televisions, as well as butler service from the pool bar. The beach cabanas comes with private bathrooms and showers. You can also have massages at the pool in your cabana direct from Aquanox Spa at Trump International Beach Resort.

Kids will enjoy every nook and angle at Trump International Beach Resort. The hotel puts on specific plans just for little ones, and has special amenities catered to its younger guests.

1. Planet Kids: The hotel’s Planet Kids program was created especially for hotel guests aged 4 to 12. The club is open daily and is complimentary as part of your $15 resort fee.

2. Kid’s evening program: Every Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m., Trump International Beach Resort hosts a “kids night” in which the hotel puts on a special evening program. You’ll have to shell out $60, but the event includes dinner and is a great way for parents to enjoy a romantic evening to themselves.

3. Pool: There’s nothing more fun than a good pool with waterfalls and hidden lagoons. The Four-Star hotel has two pools that cater to kids, so your little ones will love the variety in water options.

If you’re traveling with kids to Trump International Beach Resort, make sure to let the reservations agent know ahead of time if there are any special amenities you need in the room. Cribs are available at no charge, but rollaway beds cost $35 per night. The hotel will childproof the room any way you request, and ensure any allergies are taken into consideration when stocking the refrigerator mini-bar. If there are any special food or drink requirements, make sure to let the hotel know ahead of time so they can properly prepare your room accordingly. Welcome gifts for kids that include games, cookies and toys will likely be found in your room when you check in, so kids feel at home as adults in the Four-Star hotel.

Golf enthusiasts will have no problem finding a place to tee off in Sunny Isles when staying at Trump International Beach Resort. Miami and North Miami Beach are home to dozens of great courses, including the two 18-hole courses at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle (a short 10-minute drive from the Trump International Beach Resort). Additionally, you’ll find the Hallandale Golf Course, Scott Lake Golf Course, and North Miami Beach Golf Course only a few miles from Sunny Isles Beach, where the Four-Star hotel calls home. Consult the concierge at the hotel for tee times and green fees. The concierge can also help make arrangements and reservations with nearby golf courses.

Every guestroom at the Trump International Beach Resort feels like your own home, thanks in part to the kitchens in each room. The smaller rooms, like the deluxe room, feature a galley-type kitchen, while suites offer a full kitchen with dining room tables and seating at the kitchen bar. All the guestrooms at the hotel feature a fully-stocked mini-refrigerator, complete with water, sodas and juices. There is also fruit, nuts and chocolate for your enjoyment, all as part of the hotel’s $15 a day resort fee. You can choose to customize your mini-bar or refrigerator from a selection of amenities offered by the hotel, or go out and purchase your own food and beverage for the duration of your stay. If you or any member of your travel party has allergies, let the hotel know ahead of time so they can take precautions when stocking your refrigerator mini-bar. If there are any special food or drink requirements, like snacks for kids or specific liquors or wine for adults, you can let the hotel know ahead of time so they can properly prepare your room.

The Miami conference center is part of Trump International Beach Resort and hosts over 22,000 square feet of meeting room and function space. Each room is organized and decorated differently, from a basic boardroom setting to a full grand ballroom perfect for weddings and larger events. The rooms hold as little as 10 people and as many as 300 people in the 5,075-square-foot oceanfront ballroom. There are 16 additional meeting rooms, all with bay or ocean views. Three meeting rooms — the Gulfstream Meeting Room, Aventura Meeting Room and Bal Harbour Meeting Room — are located on the first floor of the Four-Star hotel and are the perfect setting for banquets and corporate events. There are eight meeting rooms on the third floor, including the Ocean Ballroom and the Bay Room, both of which can be divided into smaller rooms for more intimate parties. On the fourth floor are five meeting rooms — the Golden Beach Room, Sunny Isles Room, Key Biscayne Room, Grove Room and Atlantic Room. All meetings and conferences at the Trump International Beach Resort can be equipped with special audio-visual extras, Internet access, cocktails and/or a buffet or plated food options. You’ll work with the meetings planner at the hotel to organize the best event for your budget and conference needs.

The holidays are a luxurious affair at the Trump International Beach Resort. You’ll be welcomed by a flurry of holiday lights from the minute your car pulls up into the horseshoe-shaped driveway of the Four-Star hotel. The grand columns that stand guard outside the hotel’s front doors are adorned with holiday lights, and a grand Christmas tree greets you when you enter the luxury hotel’s lobby. The tree is “themed” each year so you can expect to see something different each time you return for the holidays. Garland, wreathes, and candles are strategically placed in public areas of the hotel, providing a little holiday cheer wherever you are.

There’s plenty to do near Trump International Beach Resort, from beach going to sight-seeing to monkeying around with live animals. While you’re here, consider the following fun activities:

1. South Beach: The famous Miami South Beach is only a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Head over to the beach for a day for the ultimate Miami sight-seeing. Take in an al fresco dining spot along Collins Avenue or Ocean Avenue and people-watch for the day.

2. Everglades National Park: Enjoy one of the nation’s most revered national parks by airboat. You’ll see alligators, turtles and exotic wildlife throughout your tour of the Everglades. Don’t forget your camera!

3. Miami Seaquarium: The Miami Seaquarium is a favorite among kids and adults, thanks to the endless entertainment from Flipper, Lotita the Killer Whale and the world-famous Miami Sea Lions.

4. Jungle Island: Kids and adults will go wild at Jungle Island, where you’ll see everything from wild birds to twin orangutans. Jungle Island is known for its amazing animal shows, so be sure to stay and experience a few while you’re here. Don’t miss a walk past the liger — part lion, part tiger — and the petting bar, where you can feed and play with the animals.

5. Miami Metrozoo: The Miami Metrozoo is home to more than 900 wild animals in a cage-less setting. You’ll embark on a tour through the animals’ natural habitats for a safari-like feeling.

There are literally hundreds of options for dining to satisfy a slew of cuisine requests and discerning palates near Trump International Beach Resort. Nearby South Beach is home to endless sidewalk cafes and restaurants, where dining al fresco is an art. For something a little more formal near the Four-Star hotel, head to Timo’s in Sunny Isles Beach, NAOE, or Bourbon Steak at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle. Most of the restaurants near Sunny Isle are a short 10- to 20-minute drive away from the hotel. The concierge can give you directions and maps, and even make reservations upon request. Check with the concierge at the hotel, too, for their list of restaurant recommendations. The concierge can recommend restaurants in surrounding areas including Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove. The Trump International Beach Resort makes finding nearby restaurants easy. On the hotel’s website there’s an entire directory of restaurants, organized by type of food, that you can peruse at your leisure.

If you need to feed the adventurous and outdoorsy side of life while you’re at Trump International Beach Resort, there are a few parks nearby where you can take advantage of the outdoors. The Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical park in the U.S., is home to American crocodiles, Florida panthers and various birds and wildlife. Take an airboat ride along the Everglades to view nature’s beauty at its best. Biscanye National Park is nearby, offering travelers the opportunity to explore what’s beneath the surface. A 53-foot glass-bottom boat and a 45-foot diving and snorkeling catamaran takes you across southern Biscayne Bay to tropical coral reefs where you can jump in and explore the underwater world. Rent canoes and kayaks, wind your way through walking trails, or stay the night and camp at the park.

The locker room and relaxation area at Trump International Beach Resort shares space with the hotel’s spa and is available for hotel guests, whether they’re just working out or indulging in a spa service. The locker rooms are substantial in size, so you won’t feel cramped or confined in a small locker space. Individual lockers are available for each guest and towels are available throughout the locker rooms. Robes are provided upon request (if you’re not a spa guest), and guests of the Four-Star hotel can enjoy full use of the locker room’s sauna, steam and aromatherapy shower. You’ll also find fresh fruit, water and all the amenities of a locker room including deodorant, hair spray, moisturizers and lotions, cleansers and cucumber for your eyes. The lounge area, which is shared with the spa, has blankets and a heat lamp.

The Trump International Beach Resort gym is open to hotel guests 24 hours a day and also to residents of the property. The full gym boasts cardiovascular equipment, weight training machines and hand weights, but the most divine area of the gym might just be the locker room, which the gym shares with Aquanox Spa at the hotel. In the locker room — which smells of eucalyptus and lavender — you’ll find personalized lockers, towels, water and fruit. There’s a steam room, sauna and an aromatherapy shower available for guests. Our suggestion: schedule in some time to enjoy the locker room post-workout. You’ll appreciate the extra few minutes of relaxation.

There are a few options for dining at Trump International Beach Resort, including the poolside grill and bar. Neomi’s is the hotel’s American restaurant offering breakfast and lunch. The modern decor is offset by the views of the Atlantic Ocean. Diners at Neomi’s can enjoy outdoor seating, or cool off inside to escape the Florida heat. In the lobby level of the Four-Star hotel is Fusion Restaurant & Lounge, the property’s Asian-inspired restaurant and sushi bar. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Order up sushi rolls, sandwiches, salads and various Asian-inspired appetizers. Gili’s Pool Bar & Grill is where you’ll find lighter fare such as sandwiches, finger foods and snacks. The best part of the pool bar is the 12 types of pina coladas you’ll have to choose from. Gili’s Pool Bar & Grill is also available for beach goers and those renting private poolside or beach cabanas.

Trump International Beach Resort hosts a variety of vacation packages throughout the year, all which can be found on the hotel’s website. During our visit in June, Trump International Beach Resort offered a Rein in the Summer package, complete with a 20 percent savings and a “rain or shine” assurance plan, which means the hotel will ensure your package is complete even if you have to remain indoors due to inclement weather. The Some Like It Hot package was designed specifically for Florida residents looking for a mini-break from the heat. The package includes a room rate that matches the current temperature at the time of booking. For example, if the temperature is 88 degrees when you book, your room is $88. There are also special kid-friendly packages that include a kids’ welcome bag with two pairs of goggles, sand buckets and two Super Soakers (which are destined to be a pain for parents, but at least the kids are having fun and staying cool).

Trump International Beach Resort is conveniently located between both the Miami International Airport and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. From both airports you’re only about a 25-minute drive to the hotel (traffic depending). Regardless of which airport you arrive from, you’ll need to either rent a car or hire a car to get to the Four-Star hotel. Florida is relatively void of public transportation, with the exception of taxis, and cars are the best way to get around. If you don’t like driving, there’s good news: Trump International Beach Resort is located just off I-95, the major highway that runs through South Florida, so you won’t have to worry much about directions and getting lost on side streets. When you exit the highway, you’ll make a few quick turns and end up on Collins Avenue, where you’ll happily find the hotel at 18001 Collins Ave.

Reservations are a serious affair at the Trump International Beach Resort. The resort is also part residence and vacation club, so the rooms and availability are a commodity. Before you book, pay close attention to the rules.

When you make a reservation at Trump International Beach Resort, your credit card will be used to guarantee the reservation and room rate. If you plan to book a suite, you’ll need to pay one night at the time of your booking. There are also special 21-day advance purchase rates (usually significantly discounted) that require a full payment at the time of reservation, and these reservations are non-refundable. For all regular room reservations, you must cancel your room at least three days prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid paying a penalty of one night plus tax. For suites, you must cancel at least 14 days in advance of your arrival date to avoid the one-night room rate plus tax penalty.

Trump International Beach Resort is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, which has a “Leaders Club” membership program. The annual membership costs $100 a year for an “access” membership and $1,200 a year for the “unlimited” membership. In both cases, you can earn points toward free nights at any Leading Hotels of the World property, receive complimentary upgrades (when available), lounge passes at airports, free Internet access at hotels, early check in/late check out preferences, complimentary breakfast for two each day and special welcome gifts from various hotels. The Four-Star hotel recognizes members of the Leading Hotels of the World Leaders Club and offers all the benefits that come with membership. Additionally, if you’re a repeat guest but not part of the Leading Hotels of the World Leaders Club, Trump International Beach Resort recognizes you in its own special way with little gifts such as complimentary wine bottles, fruit baskets, spa certificates and restaurant discounts.

The 32-story white-and-silver building stands tall at 18001 Collins Avenue, situated among the other hotels and residents that adorn Sunny Isles. The resort is located about a 30-minute drive north from Miami International Airport and a 25-minute drive from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. If you’re visiting Miami Beach, you’re only about a 10-minute drive to the Trump International Beach Resort and Sunny Isles. From the guestrooms of the hotel you can see all the way to Bal Harbour and Aventura, and you’ll overlook the Atlantic Ocean.
