Where is Vdara Hotel & Spa located?

Vdara Hotel and Spa is located at 2600 W. Harmon Avenue within the massive, privately funded CityCenter complex. Situated next to its sister property, Aria Resort & Casino, and connected to Bellagio Las Vegas hotel, Vdara is one of the few non-gaming, smoke-free hotels in Las Vegas, which makes it an elegant hideaway.

In 2010, Vdara Hotel and Spa along with Aria became the first Las Vegas hotels to achieve a 5 Keys designation by the Green Key Eco-Rating Program. Energy efficiency and using less water (Las Vegas is a desert, after all) are of top priority to those who built and maintain CityCenter. The complex is also home to Crystals at CityCenter, which comprises shops, restaurants and clubs as well as Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and Veer Towers.

Though Vdara is casino-less and therefore decidedly quieter, your vices are welcome at nearby Aria Resort & Casino, home of Viva Elvis by Cirque du Soleil. In other words, you have easy access to all of what Las Vegas has to offer and the ability to escape from the frenzy in your Vdara enclave.

    • When you stay at Vdara Hotel & Spa, we hope you’ll experience all of the hotel, rather than be cooped up in your beautiful room. The surrounding hotels may have more variety in the way of amenities, but Vdara does offer quality. Here’s our list for the best five amenities at Vdara:

      1. Feel rejuvenated. At Spa & Salon Vdara, you can spend a day or two relaxing in any one of their 11 private treatment rooms named “Retreats,” such as its eucalyptus steam room, Jacuzzi tubs or Meditation Lounge. The spa impressed us by balancing its intimate and cozy feel with modern décor full of natural materials. Plus, the spa focuses specifically on holistic health.

      2. Take a swim. Located on the rooftop of the grand entry, Pool & Lounge Vdara is as relaxing as it is playful. You can order cocktails and gourmet tapas while you sunbathe, or kick back in a private cabana (which you can rent 30 days in advance).

      3. Get your questions answered. Typically, the concierge will help you with everything from making dinner reservations to providing maps and directions for sightseeing. At Vdara, the concierge does all of that and more. They really went out of their way to help at this luxury hotel.

      4. Enter in style. From the moment you walk into Vdara, you’ll have a good idea of its design aesthetic because its lobby truly reflects the feel of the entire property. With its high ceilings, bold artwork behind the front desk and modern furnishings, the lobby is made to feel airy.

      5. Get fit. Lift some free weights or get on one of the fitness center’s seven treadmills, four ellipticals or three stationary cycles. When you’re done, head to the smoothie bar for a delicious fruity drink or a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne if you’re feeling fancy.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • There’s plenty to love about Vdara Hotel and Spa, and none of it has to do with the typical gambling and partying you’ll find at most Las Vegas hotels. In essence, Vdara serves as an escape from the city, while still being located close enough to the excitement if you’re curious. Here’s our list of five things we love most about Vdara Hotel and Spa:

      1. No smoking allowed. Here, at Vdara, you can enjoy the benefits of an international, all-suite luxury hotel without being exposed to smoke at all. We know that smoking and gambling kinda go hand in hand in Las Vegas, but let Vdara be your clean air respite.

      2. Boutique hotel charm. A welcome change of pace from the amount of bustling, giant casino hotels that you’ll practically trip over in Las Vegas, Vdara achieves a nice residential vibe in equal parts due to being an all-suites hotel and having no casino.

      3. Modern madness. Vdara’s décor can be described as both modern and bright with its clean lines, pops of color and base palette of grays and blacks. Your average suite will include a dark wood, linear bed frame, dark couches, a small glass coffee table and modern lighting. Throw in a bright green throw blanket and matching leather chair and you’ve got Vdara’s chic design sensibility.

      4. Views worth taking in. Wall-to-wall windows in many of the suites present a clear view of the Strip as well as of the mountains in the distance. The 57-story tower located within CityCenter, while being a stunner itself, is in a great location from which to observe other spectacularly designed buildings.

      5. It’s not a gamble. As mentioned, Vdara offers no casino within its hotel, which speaks to the type of hotel it wants to be: classy and secluded. We appreciate the break from the noise of shuffling cards and flashing lights. Hopefully, you will too.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • Market Café Vdara is Vdara Hotel and Spa’s only restaurant and it’s certainly not indicative of the kinds of restaursnts you’ll find on the Strip. Instead, it’s cool and casual with a strong emphasis on fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients. Serving what it calls a “California Coastal” menu, Market Café Vdara’s menu includes dishes such as the Mexican roasted chicken soft taco with pineapple, cilantro and tequila chile sauce. Homemade soups, salads and sandwiches make up the rest of this cafeteria-style eatery’s lunch menu. For dessert, executive pastry chef Fred Larre whips up fine French pastries like chocolate caramel tartes to satisfy your sweet tooth. And if you’d rather eat in the comforts of your own room, and eliminate the middle man, attached to the café is a boutique grocer carrying items from places like Dean & Deluca. Breakfast and lunch are a casual, yummy affair at this on-the-go market — and don’t forget to include Vdara’s in-room dining menu for when you want a bite to eat but don’t feel like doing anything more than dialing a phone.

    • It’s almost redundant for us to tell you what the rooms are like at Vdara Hotel and Casino and then to tell you what the suites are like at the hotel: Vdara is a suites-only hotel, so it’s only natural that their suites be impeccably decorated. All suites feature a black-and-white color scheme with pops of chartreuse. Where there isn’t wall-to-wall windows, there’s glossy contemporary photography on the walls. And all of the suites at Vdara offer views of the Strip and mountains.

When it comes time to catch some Zs, you’ll notice your bed has an elegant leather headboard and your sheets, duvet cover and pillows are all a pristine white. On either side of the bed, you’ll find hip black-and-white striped sconces. To top it off, a chartreuse leather chair sits in the corner, near a couch and a glass coffee table. Vdara’s suites reflect a certain refined elegance in a city that’s all about being over-the-top — a touch that we certainly appreciate, given all the different properties we’ve seen.

    • Before you book your reservation at Vdara Hotel and Spa, you should know what you’re getting yourself into at one of CityCenter’s luxurious hotels. Though it’s not the liveliest or the largest of the bunch, it has several redeeming qualities that make it stand out. Here’s our list of five things you should know about Vdara:

      1. Residential feel. You might not feel like you’re entering a hotel when you enter Vdara’s chic, minimalist lobby - which we don’t think is a bad thing. Every room is decked out with a kitchenette and sleek, modern furniture.

      2. Don’t bring your cigarettes. We think it’s rare, and therefore refreshing, in Las Vegas to find a hotel that doesn’t permit smoking. But if you’re addicted to nicotine, Vdara might not be the place for you to stay.

      3. No Vdara Casino. Unlike most of the hotels in the city, Vdara does not have its own casino. So if you’re looking to hit the tables and the slot machines, you can head next door to Aria Resort & Casino, or over the bridge to Bellagio Las Vegas.

      4. Smaller size. The rooms may be spacious at Vdara, but the building itself and the facilities within it aren’t expansive. Truth be told: This small hotel depends on its sister property, Aria Resort & Casino, for some amenities.

      5. Limited dining options. Vdara’s only restaurant is the casual Market Café, which offers what they call a “California Coastal” menu. It’s more of a cafeteria than it is fine dining, best for on-the-go meals. Similarly, there’s only one place for you to sip on cocktails, which is at Bar Vdara. Luckily, Aria is close by and there are plenty of award-winning and casual options, from Jean Georges Steakhouse to Skybox Sports Bar & Grill. This is Las Vegas, and you’re never more than a 15-minute cab ride from anything.

    • When you return to your suite after, say, swimming in Vdara Hotel and Spa’s serene pool or sipping cocktails at Bar Vdara, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Why? Vdara’s staff will have impeccably cleaned your room for an immaculate turndown service. Your room will be straightened and the TV will be turned to a Vdrara promotional station. A glossy magazine and a remote will be placed on your pillow, and a bottle of water along with a glass will be placed on your nightstand. Your curtains will be closed, and the decorative spread will be taken off your bed. The housekeeping staff will have turned down your down-duvet comforter and sheets, inviting you to slip into bed. Vdara’s turndown service is a mark of a fine luxury hotel and just adds another touch to the quiet, personal service the hotel offers.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • We don’t blame you for wanting to rest in your luxury suite or lay out near the pool at Vdara Hotel & Spa, but it’s almost imperative that you take advantage of your frenetic surroundings when you stay at Vdara. Because of the hotel’s central location, you’ll find plenty of only-in-Las-Vegas activities to enjoy around the corner. Here’s our list for the five best things to do near Vdara:

      1. Reach new heights. Ask the concierge staff to arrange a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, which is arguably the most exciting way to see the inspiring massive landscape. Though the helicopter flies 1,000 feet lower than the airplane tours, you can choose an intimate chopper with either quiet technology or big windows.

      2. Hit the Strip. World-class hotels, restaurants, clubs and casinos make up the famous 4.2 mile stretch. Vdara is one of the many hotels on the Strip, so swanky nightclubs, fine dining, blackjack tables and extravagant shopping awaits you. There is truly nothing like the Strip, which constantly buzzes with kinetic energy. After just walking down the Strip, you’ll understand its appeal.

      3. Indulge in fine dining. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of the fine dining options on the Strip, but whatever you choose promises to delight. At the award-winning Joel Robuchon Restaurant, for example, you can eat some of the best French fare in the country in a beautiful dining room setting. There are dozens of celebrity-chef headed restaurants, such as Picasso and Le Cirque, mere blocks away from Vdara Hotel & Spa.

      4. Embrace The King. Aria Resort & Casino, Vdara’s sister property, hosts a show called VIVA Elvis by Cirque du Soleil, which serves as a live music and acrobatic tribute to Elvis himself. Las Vegas proudly celebrates one of the best entertainers of all time with Viva Elvis, and it’s a quintessential Vegas show worth seeing.

      5. Dance your heart out. Las Vegas’ nightclubs are notorious for being flashy and outrageous. At ARIA Resort & Casino, you can go to Haze Nightclub, Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge or The Deuce Lounge. Plus, you’re on the Strip, so every great, internationally known Las Vegas nightclub is in close vicinity.

    • Natural is the word we’d use to describe the gym at Vdara Hotel & Spa. Wood paneling and natural light — a nice alternative to the typical harsh flourescent gym lighting — makes the gym feel private, like something you’d have in your own home. Though it’s relatively small in area, the gym features large, flat-screen TVs for you to watch while you pump some iron or work up a sweat doing cardio. Water bottles, towels and headphones are provided, too. Plus, the gym employs its own staff, and if you want to arrange personal training sessions or need help with one of the machines, they’ll be more than happy to help you out or arrange for a trainer to get your butt in gear.

    • In the event that you need to conduct business while you’re staying at Vdara Hotel & Spa, you’ll have access to plenty of hardware and software to keep you connected and productive. The hotel’s business center is located around the corner from the lobby and is equipped with two computers and accompanying chairs. The room is staffed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends, so if you have any questions, someone is there to help. You can get everything from complimentary notary services to Internet and fax service, all in one place. Vdara’s business center can handle large-scale printing and mailing, as well as overnight courier services — so if you’re flying solo and come to Vegas for a convention or work meeting, rest assured that the quiet, casino-less hotel has all the technology and business amenities that you’ll need.

Though it doesn’t specialize just in wine, Bar Vdara can meet all of your simple wine needs, right in the middle of the hotel.

    • You won’t want to be unprepared for your stay at Vdara Hotel & Spa, even though the hotel offers plenty of services and amenities. What you bring is entirely up to you, but here’s five things we think you should be sure to pack for your stay at Vdara:

      1. A swimsuit is a must. When the Las Vegas weather is sizzling, there’s nothing you’ll want to do more than to head to Vdara Pool and Lounge. Plus, it has a chic, modern feel and it’s not too crowded, so you can cool off without having to deal with swathes of people.

      2. Time for your heels. Vdara is conveniently located on the famous Las Vegas Strip, which is synonomous with great nightlife. We suggest you pack some going-out outfits, as you’ll undoubtedly want to experience Sin City at night.

      3. Reading materials for the pool. If you’re going to spend hours upon hours by the pool, why not bring something to keep yourself occupied? We say bring some books you’ve meaning to read or your trusty Kindle to the poolside. What better way is there to get a nice tan than becoming more literary?

      4. A camera of some kind. Maybe you’ve got an iPhone. Maybe you’ve got a great DSLR. Either way, Vdara boasts some amazing views of the Strip and the mountains in the distance that you’ll surely want to remember.

      5. Pack light…clothing-wise. To withstand the heat, you’ll need to wear airy clothing. The occasional restaurant will crank the air, in which case you might want to bring a couple of light sweaters as well. But this is Las Vegas, so really, anything goes.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • After any long day of sunning and shopping on the Strip, you’ll naturally want to retreat to your hotel room at Vdara Hotel and Spa to freshen up. You can do so in style at Vdara because the bathroom in your suite is, design-wise, a natural extension of your room. Modern and contemporary, the bathroom is decked out in neutral colors like off-white and gray, instead of the black and white palette in your room. Luckily, you can jump into a tub that’s separate from your completely clear glass shower. Lights are integrated in the bathroom mirror and the only color towel you’ll find is white. Colorful paintings and photography are displayed in the bathroom to solidfy the play between neturals and bright artwork throughout the hotel.

    • Housed inside CityCenter, Vdara Hotel & Spa stands out among the Strip’s hotels, thanks to their unique approach to a luxury hotel. Here are five words we would use to describe the style of Vdara:

      1. Sleek. You won’t find ornate furnishings in Vdara Hotel and Spa. Instead, clean lines are everywhere, from the glass fixtures and coffee tables to the bed frames and couches.

      2. Contemporary. In the suites, you’ll find delicate black and white sconces on either side of the beach, and in the lobby, large abstract art is paired with simple furniture. Vdara prides itself on committing to a contemporary style, from the pristine white lounge chairs at the pool to the smallest touches in your suite.

      3. Colorful. It’s not an all black, white and gray color palette at Vdara Hotel and Spa. Red and chartreuse accentuate accessories like throw blankets and leather armchairs. The combination makes for a playfully decorated hotel.

      4. Friendly. Though not related to Vdara’s aesthetic, the concierge and housekeeping staff at Vdara are welcoming, kind and provide service above their call of duty. We like your style, Vdara.

      5. Eco-friendly. Vdara received a “5 Green Keys” rating form the Green key Eco-Rating Program, which we think is pretty self-explanatory. Many of the design materials, as well as the food that’s served at Market Café, reflect their devotion to eco-friendliness.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • If simple sunning on the provided lounge chairs isn’t enough for you at Vdara Hotel & Spa’s pool — and with other options, we’re guessing it might not be — you can opt to rent a chaise lounge or daybed. Smartwater, an amenity basket and pool floats are provided with every daybed. When you rent a spa cabana, you’ll receive similar small gifts, including Smartwater and pool floats. Within your cabana, you’ll find a refrigerator, amenity basket, chaise lounges, refreshing misters and a ceiling fan, television and media hub. But we think that the semi-private plunge pools within the spa cabanas are the most exciting element. Actually, Vdara’s spa cabanas are the perfect place for a group pool party. And the day after your lively pool party, you can retreat back to the pool for a soothing poolside massage through Vdara Spa and Salon.

    • Between November 6th and February 2nd in 2012, as well as select dates in September and October, you can book your hotel and flight together and receive two buffets each day while you’re on vacation at Vdara Hotel and Spa. You can eat at any MGM Resorts International buffet, with the exception of Bellagio Las Vegas and Excalibur, meaning you can eat breakfast or lunch at up to nine hotel restaurants in addition to Vdara Hotel and Spa. As long as you book your trip before 5 p.m. on Sept. 23rd, you can take advantage of this offer. We think it’s an excellent way to save on hotel restaurant buffets that you’d likely be spending money on otherwise. And with the money you save, you can spend it on something more fun.

  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • The concierge staff at Vdara Hotel & Spa is happy to help you book any and all kinds of reservations at nearby destinations and attractions. Whether you’re simply looking for dinner reservations or looking to book a helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon (that’s honestly an option, and one we’d recommend), the concierge staff will happily arrange your plans. They’ve even been known to book belly dancing acts, so we’re sure that the staff at this Las Vegas hotel won’t find any request too strange or extravagant. And while what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, you’ll still have to stay within the realms of legality — but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a little crazy with your requests to the concierge.

    • Sometimes things come up, and we can’t go on the vacations that we originally planned. In the case that this happens to you, Vdara Hotel and Spa allows you 48 hours to cancel your reservation. If you cancel within this window of time, you won’t be charged for your suite - and you can plan your trip for another time. Don’t follow these instructions, and you’ll be charged for one night’s deposit. So it’s important to make a decision two days before you leave for your fabulous Las Vegas vacation. Though we don’t recommend canceling a stay at Vdara, or any hotel really, within 48 hours of your scheduled stay, the prices at Vdara are low enough that you won’t have to worry about draining your bank accounts, should you end up having to cancel after all.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • Despite what you might expect from a luxurious, suites-only hotel, the rooms at Vdara Hotel and Spa are quite affordable. The average price for a standard suite is $199, which is a small price to pay for what you get — a spacious, modern room complete with a kitchenette. You won’t feel cramped, nor will you break the bank at the secluded Vdara. And this way, you’ll have extra money to play blackjack at one of the neighboring casinos and return to your quiet, intimate getaway.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • Transport yourself back about 30 years, and you can see grizzled gamblers manning blackjack tables. Well, Vdara thinks that’s a relic of the past. The hotel doesn’t allow smoking, and doesn’t have a casino, unlike most of the hotels in Sin City. Suites are the only type of rooms you’ll find at Vdara, which makes the hotel feel more residential and less rigid and traditional. Those suites range from the deluxe — considered the base suite but with a kitchenette and 582 square feet — to the panoramic, where you’ll have views of the Strip and mountains in the distance.

To top it off, CityCenter is especially environmentally conscious and actively preserves water and energy. This is something you’ll be hard-pressed to find at many other glitzy Las Vegas properties — places that pride themselves on huge fountains, lava-spewing volcanoes and all the excess the city has built its name on. Vdara feels like a breath of fresh air — quite literally, thanks to the no-smoking policy.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • You’ll only have to shell out $20 to pay for your basic amenities while you stay at Vdara Hotel and Spa, enjoying all of the luxuries the hotel has to offer. For this amount, you can check your e-mail and browse the Internet all you want using Vdara’s high-speed Wi-Fi. You’ll have access to the hotel’s fully stocked gym during the day, and the 3rd floor pool area. Take a swim and then lift some free weights anytime during the day, as the gym is open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Other offers include a daily newspaper, turndown service, two bottles of water per day and 800 phone calls. Be sure to ask the concierge at Vdara for any other requests you have throughout your stay.

    • Vdara Hotel & Spa boasts more than 10,000 square feet of conference space — perfect for a business meeting or a party. In addition to the vast amount of space, you will enjoy a personal catering and convention services manager who will put together a customized menu of meals to help you and your team power through the day. The staff at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel will make sure your meeting spaces are outfitted with all the essentials, including built-in audio systems, controlled lighting, sound and video for presentations and drop-down projectors, along with full wireless Internet access and flexible power distribution.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • Vdara Hotel and Spa is located at 2600 W.

    • Spend one of the most special days of your life — your wedding — at Vdara Hotel & Spa. The hotel’s interior ballrooms are modern, cool and designed for an elegant, understated Vegas wedding. Vdara’s Viñoly Grand Ballroom is decorated in cream and wood tones and features modern light fixtures. Known to host everything from business conventions to weddings, the subtly elegant ballroom can be found right when you walk into the main entrance. Silk Road, on the other hand, is a unique venue space with sculptural yellow walls designed to look like waves. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows you can see a striking public art sculpture titled “Big Edge” by artist Nancy Rubins. Silk Road can fit up to 200 guests and speaks to the city’s bold nature.

For an outdoor affair, Vdara’s pool deck is another favorite location for a posh reception. Weather permitting, the right amount of modern décor paired with the sparkling pool make for an elegant Vegas event. Touches the hotel offers, like making arrangements for limousine service, will make your night lovely and hassle-free. For a wild bachelorette party, ask the concierge about booking party reservations at one of ARIA’s nightclubs.

    • For couples in need of a romantic getaway, Vdara Hotel & Spa is one of Las Vegas’ most coveted destinations — particularly its luxurious spa. Reserve a couples’ room and indulge in a specialty or traditional treatment of your choice. You and your sweetie will be transformed into a state of total relaxation. Opt for a 50-minute massage for two ($260), an 80-minute massage ($360) or an indulgent 110-minute massage ($460). Even if you aren’t planning on a spa visit, there are plenty of ways to make the simple pleasures of staying at this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel a romantic experience, whether it’s lounging poolside in side-by-side chaise lounges or making reservations at one of the swank and intimate dining spots at nearby ARIA Resort & Casino.

    • The only restaurant you’ll find at Vdara Hotel & Spa is Market Café Vdara — which easily caters to both kids and adults with its California-casual fare and décor. For breakfast, your kids can nosh on everything from buttermilk flapjacks to a bagel sandwich. Grab a burger or fresh tossed salad for lunch. Any time of day, Market Café Vdara is perfect for an on-the-go snack. You won’t find white table linens at this little cafeteria-style joint. All of the food on the menu is accessible and tasty — yet another reason this smoke-free, gambling-free hotel will appeal to families with children.

Bali Hai Golf Club is a par-71 course spanning 7,002 yards of land. Though it’s located on the commercialized Strip, the golf course feels like a tropical paradise with manicured greens, scenic water features and rows of palm trees. If you’re traveling from Vdara, all you have to do is head south on Las Vegas Boulevard to tee off in your finest polo shirt.

Other options include Royal Links and Desert Pines, both excellent golf clubs near the hotel. As a guest of Vdara, an MGM Resorts International destination, you also have exclusive access to Shadow Creek — host of the annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational.

    • You won’t have to go far from Vdara Hotel & Spa to find a good museum — in fact, you won’t even have to leave CityCenter Las Vegas. The CityCenter Fine Art Collection is the closest thing to a museum that you’ll find while staying at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel. Take an afternoon to peruse award-winning art collections commissioned by the likes of Frank Stella, Maya Lin, Nancy Rubins and Jenny Holzer. Open 24 hours a day, CityCenter Fine Art Collection is free to the public and is the first major permanent art collection in Las Vegas that is featured in a public space.

Also connected to Vdara is the Bellagio hotel, home to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, an intimate space that offers a taste of world-renowned art on the Las Vegas Strip. General admission is $15 per person, though complimentary tours are available daily at 2 p.m.

    • If you’re staying at Vdara Hotel & Spa, you’ll want to take some time to explore the attractions and excitement the surrounding area has to offer. Located near the heart of CityCenter, Vdara is just steps from Crystals, the Las Vegas luxury entertainment and shopping mecca. You’ll find high-end retail staples like Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Fendi. Crystals is also home to several renowned dining spots, such as Beso Steakhouse, Mastro’s Ocean Club and The Pods by Wolfgang Puck.

The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel is also located next to ARIA Resort & Casino, which currently plays host to the popular Viva ELVIS show by Cirque du Soleil (through August 2012). Of course it’s never a trip to Sin City without posing for a picture in front of the iconic Fountains of Bellagio at the Bellagio hotel, which is conveniently connected to Vdara Hotel & Spa. The exciting (and complimentary) fountain shows usually occur every 15 to 30 minutes, and are a combination of water, music, light and complex choreography set against the gorgeous Las Vegas sky.

The neighboring ARIA Resort & Casino is home to an impressive collection of unique fine dining establishments that are just a two-minute stroll from the Vdara porte-cochere. From upscale to casual and everything in between, you’re sure to find at least one favorite spot during your stay. Gourmet restaurants at ARIA include the famed Julian Serrano (ranked by Esquire magazine as one of 2010’s “Best New Restaurants”), Sage, Sirio Ristorante, Jean Georges Steakhouse, BARMASA, Shaboo, Blossom and American Fish. If you’re looking for something a bit more laid-back, you’ll still find a variety of appetizing options, whether it’s modern Thai flavor at Lemongrass or classic American fare at Skybox Sports Bar and Grill.

    • Travel just six miles east of Vdara Hotel & Spa and you’ll find yourself in Sunset Park, one of the largest parks in Las Vegas. Even though you’re still within the city limits, you’ll feel a world away from the bustle and commotion of the Las Vegas Strip. The roughly 14-acre park offers year-round fishing at Sunset Park Pond, a 27-hole golf course and remote-control boating, plus a number of volleyball, tennis and basketball courts.

Located 20 miles west of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, Red Rock Canyon is a scenic desert beauty that is popular among tourists and locals year-round. • Lace up your jogging shoes and take to the Strip if you’re a runner staying at Vdara Hotel & Spa. The hotel does not have a designated jogging route of its own, but the Strip — either northbound or southbound — can serve as a scenic route for an early morning run alongside some of the famous hotels and attractions in Las Vegas. Plus, the mountains in the distance provide a beautiful backdrop. For those runners who would like to avoid the traffic of the Strip, the concierge at Vdara Hotel & Spa advises you to take Harmon Avenue westbound.

    • The lockers at Vdara Hotel & Spa’s gym are appropriately understated. There is no formal locker room at this Four-Star Las Vegas hotel. Instead, there’s a bank of small lockers in the middle of the gym where you can safely stow a few personal belongings while you work out. Though you won’t be able to shower or relax in a sauna after your session, you can find pampering amenities like fully stocked locker rooms, a redwood sauna, a eucalyptus steam room and private lounge areas at Spa & Salon Vdara.
  • Forbes Inspector answered a question:
    • We don’t blame you for wanting to rest in your luxury suite or lay out near the pool, but it’s imperative that you take advantage of your frenetic surroundings when you stay at Vdara Hotel & Spa. Because of Vdara’s central location, there are plenty of only-in-Las-Vegas activities to enjoy around the corner. Here’s our list for the five best:

      1. Reach new heights. Ask the concierge staff to arrange a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, which is arguably the most exciting way to see the inspiring massive landscape. Though the helicopter flies 1,000 feet lower than the airplane tours, you can choose an intimate ’copter with either quiet technology or big windows.

There are dozens of celebrity chef headed restaurants like Picasso and Le Cirque mere blocks away from Vdara.

Plus, you’re on The Strip so every great, internationally known Vegas nightclub is in close vicinity.

If it’s a classic lunch you crave, order an American club sandwich with naturally fermented sourdough bread, turkey, lettuce, tomato and applewood-smoked bacon served with potato chips. Or try the rice with wok-fried chicken, eggs, scallions and black beans with tamari soy. If you’re in the mood for something more indulgent, entrées like penne all’arrabbiata or a grilled eight-ounce grass-fed Angus beef filet mignon can be enjoyed in the privacy of your own suite. Of course, you’ll have to top it off with a dessert, like double fudge molten chocolate cake followed by a cup of French press coffee. 1. Order the seared ahi tuna with soybean puree at Bar Vdara. It’s the perfect light dish before heading out to the pool or for a night out.

      2. The daikon shiso salad, which is served at Market Café Vdara and Bar Vdara, is a great plate of delicious light fare. The salad, along with the ahi tuna dish, are the most popular menu items ordered at the bar.

      3. Go south of the border at Market Café Vdara. Guests love the Pacific Coast “Bennies,” huevos rancheros, Southwest chicken panini and Mexican pot roast served with soft tacos.

      4. You can’t go wrong when you start or end your day with a strawberry banana smoothie or iced caramel macchiato from Market Café Vdara.

At ARIA Resort & Casino, you can go to Haze Nightclub, Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge or The Deuce Lounge. Plus, you’re on The Strip so every great, internationally known Vegas nightclub is in close vicinity.

  • The closest city park is Sunset Park, located just six miles east of CityCenter. The closest National Park is Red Rock Canyon, which is approximately 20 miles west of Vdara. Through our tour desk, guests can arrange excursions to the Grand Canyon or even take a helicopter tour of The Strip. There are numerous tour options for our guests to experience Las Vegas parks.
  • Vdara has a small grocery store within Market Café Vdara that sells an array of fine wines, cheeses, meats, Dean & Deluca products. Vdara is also connected to Crystals Retail and Entertainment district by tram. Crystals is the home to many renowned retailers including Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and Robert Cavalli. Vdara is also just steps away from ARIA, host to stores like Radiance, Terrene, ARIA Men’s and Papillon.
  • Just steps away at Aria Resort & Casino, there is a plethora of dining options. Aria has assembled a collection of the world’s most critically acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs with enticing new concepts from such chefs as Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Michael Mina, Sirio Maccioni and Julian Serrano.

  • Just steps away at ARIA Resort & Casino, you will find award-winning nightlife options from The Light Group including Haze Nightclub, Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge and The Deuce Lounge. ARIA also hosts View Bar, Bar Moderno and City Bar — all wonderful places to have a drink and people watch. During the summer months, guests can enjoy the Pool Bar for a refreshing cocktail, or Liquid Pool Lounge for the essential Las Vegas day-life experience.
  • Bali Hai, Royal Links and Desert Pines are all excellent Golf Clubs near Vdara. As a guest of Vdara, an MGM Resorts International destination, you have exclusive access to Shadow Creek — host of the annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational.

Instead, you’ll feel as though you’re entering your luxury apartment building, especially once you get to your spacious suite.

  • This 57-story, all-suites hotel was completed in December 2009, so Vdara Hotel & Spa is considered a relatively new hotel in Las Vegas. Because of its young age, it has not been renovated since it opened its doors — and the Four-Star hotel doesn’t need to be revamped quite yet. After all, a renovation implies a need for updating and Vdara is still in its shiny and new stage. The modern suites, chic rooftop pool and contemporary gym are all in great condition. Not unlike CityCenter itself, Vdara reflects a certain cool modernity, which makes for an elegant yet highly accessible atmosphere.

  • Unless you happen to enjoy sizzling 100-degree temperatures in the summer, we think spring and fall are the best seasons to visit Vdara Hotel & Spa. These months are rather mild with temperatures hovering in the 70s and 80s. It’s warm enough to get a serious tan by Vdara’s pool but pleasant enough to dine alfresco at one of the many outdoor options in Las Vegas. If you plan to visit Vdara in the summer or winter, you can always seek refuge in a cabana by the pool or take a dip in the spa’s hot plunge pool instead. With a chic salon and spa, stocked bar and a modern gym, the Four-Star hotel offers plenty of ways to escape the heat.
  • You won’t have to go far from Vdara Hotel & Spa to find a good museum — in fact, you won’t even have to leave CityCenter Las Vegas. All meeting rooms feature built-in audiovisual systems with high-definition video projectors. Patchable fiber, Ethernet cable, broadband and wireless Internet connections are available throughout the convention space.

One of the most popular venues at Vdara for unique private events is Pool & Lounge Vdara. Perched above the porte-cochère, Pool & Lounge Vdara serves up striking views of CityCenter and the Las Vegas Strip as the backdrop to exclusive group functions with nearly 30,000 square feet of space to accommodate groups large and small.

  • Plan the wedding of your dreams at Vdara Hotel & Spa, where you can throw a ceremony personalized just the way you always imagined. The salon also features groom packages, which include a haircut and style, a “MAN-icure” and deep-tissue massage.

To prepare for your wedding ceremony, we recommend booking Vdara’s hospitality suite, which is the perfect preparatory gathering space for the bridal party. You’ll enjoy amenities like a full-service kitchen, 42-inch LCD flat-screen TV, wine refrigerator, dining area and two bedrooms — not to mention full access to your own concierge. To start planning your big day, simply visit the Vdara website, where you can fill out a reception/dinner request form and e-mail or fax it to the hotel’s catering and banquet sales team.

  • If you’re looking for complimentary house car or limousine service provided by Vdara Hotel & Spa, unfortunately you won’t find it. Many of Vdara’s amenities come along with the resort fee, like access to the gym and the pool, but this service doesn’t happen to be one of them. However, you can ask the concierge staff to arrange a limousine as long as you’re willing to pay, so don’t abandon your fantasy of riding around Las Vegas in a tinted limo just yet. We’re sure that with or without complimentary car service, Vdara’s subtle elegance will make your stay extra luxurious.
Not unlike CityCenter itself, Vdara reflects a certain cool modernity, which makes for an elegant yet highly accessible atmosphere.
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa does not offer any planned activities exclusively through the hotel, but one of the major advantages of being located on the Strip is the sheer amount of restaurants, clubs and casinos located within walking distance. Take advantage of the proximity. With so many celebrity-chef restaurants, swanky clubs, enticing casinos and outdoor activities to enjoy, you’ll be hard-pressed to run out of things to see and do in Sin City. And planning any activity will be a breeze with the help of Vdara’s knowledgeable and friendly concierge staff, who can book anything from a group helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon to a dinner reservation for two at the Bellagio’s Four-Star restaurant Le Cirque
  • Don’t book your reservations to Vdara Hotel & Spa during the holidays expecting to find a grandiose Christmas tree, presents and tinsel galore. This luxury hotel isn’t the biggest Christmas destination in Las Vegas, but it has indulged in the past by hanging ornaments from the lobby ceiling. There are no public holiday events at the Four-Star hotel; however, don’t rule out throwing your own holiday party at one of its chic event spaces. Venues like Silk Road, Bar Vdara, any of the ballrooms, the pool or one of the Hospitality Suites might be the perfect space to hang some mistletoe and serve some holiday-inspired cocktails.
  • Business travelers are well taken care of at Vdara Hotel & Spa with a business center that can be used to conduct a variety of work-related tasks. You can e-mail, fax, get documents notarized, send packages and rent all sorts of communication equipment. Vdara recognizes that not everyone who travels to Las Vegas is there for the wild clubs and casinos, so this relatively quiet hotel may be the perfect location to close that profitable deal. Plus, Vdara’s concierge staff will loan you a laptop if you’re in need.

If you’d rather not leave your room, settle into your Vdara suite’s modern, clean-lined wood and metal desk. You’ll find a phone, blotter, hardwire Internet hookup and a modern metal desk lamp with a drum shade. Burn the midnight oil while looking out onto the Las Vegas Strip and distant mountains without ever leaving your room in this Four-Star hotel.
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa is a sleek, modern hotel located on the Las Vegas Strip, and although it’s not specifically outfitted for kids, it does have some serious perks that will appeal to families with children. For one, the hotel has a strict no-smoking policy. Considering what a rarity this is in Las Vegas, families with health concerns or allergies may find Vdara to be a clean-air oasis. In a similar vein, the hotel doesn’t have a casino, which means kids won’t feel alienated by grown-up gambling culture at this Four-Star hotel. Lastly, the rooms at this all-suites hotel are large enough to accommodate a family.
  • Perhaps Vdara Hotel & Spa’s highest selling point for families is that it doesn’t resemble many of the massive hotels in Las Vegas. This Four-Star hotel doesn’t have a casino and doesn’t allow smoking, two pluses for families with young children. Though this isn’t the most kid-friendly hotel in Vegas, the slower pace of Vdara makes it a natural choice for some families. When you book your stay, ask the concierge about babysitting services. They will be able to help you arrange childcare services through an outside company, as the hotel itself does not provide babysitting. This way, adults can hit the town and experience Las Vegas nightlife and casinos while knowing their children are safely taken care of back at the quiet, modern Vdara.
  • If you choose to hold your wedding reception at Vdara Hotel & Spa, each guest will be treated to a classically catered meal. As Vegas hotel weddings go, $80 per plate — the standard cost for dinner — is quite affordable. Vdara catering will let you customize your menu to your heart’s content and they’re comfortable serving any number of guests, from 30 to 300 people. This smoke-free, gamble-free hotel and spa is equipped to host a refined, memorable wedding with the ballroom, outdoor pool deck and modern décor. The Four-Star hotel is secluded enough to avoid the over-the-top Vegas glitz, but sophisticated enough to provide all the glamour.
  • Don’t expect to bring your pooch to this Las Vegas hotel — Vdara Hotel & Spa has a strict no pets allowed policy. Along with being a casino-free, smoke-free hotel, it is not a place for pets. It is, however, a modern, all-suite, eco-friendly hotel that serves as a quiet respite for those in need of a break from the pomp and flash of the typical Las Vegas scene. Keep this is mind when you leave your pets with a friend before you travel to Las Vegas. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to this hotel and you’ll appreciate the eco-friendly products and clean air when you arrive.
  • If you don’t feel like walking down to Market Café Vdara at Vdara Hotel & Spa or calling for room service, grab some snacks from your suite’s fully stocked mini-bar. All of the basics and more are provided. Bottled water, Coke, Diet Coke, orange juice, cranberry juice and Red Bull will quench your thirst. When you’re not hungry for an entire meal and only crave something to munch on, reach for the cashews, chocolate chip cookies and pretzels found within the bar. Your Vdara suite is perfect for unwinding — the views and sophisticated décor set the scene for evening drinks. Mix your own using liquors like Grey Goose vodka or Johnnie Walker whisky or settle in with a cold brew like Heineken. If you’re feeling fancy, pop open a bottle of Veuve Clicquot or pour yourself a glass of red or white seasonal wine.

  • Vdara delivers intricately customized events for groups up to 300 people and is a haven for those with an acquired taste for impeccable service. Vdara features 11,000 square feet of meeting space and a sleek 442-square-foot executive boardroom for incentive meetings, general sessions, or food and beverage gatherings.

The conference facility is intelligently designed and ultra-functional. The Viñoly Grand Ballroom, located just inside the main hotel entrance, employs natural materials such as warm wood, sandstone and pebbles in a contemporary design.

  • Las Vegas is the ultimate adult playground, but Vdara Hotel & Spa still offers plenty of kid-friendly amenities. Here are the five best:

    1. The concierge staff at Vdara can arrange a trip for the whole family to see the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. As the country’s sole predator-based aquarium and exhibit, the attraction puts your kids in face-to-face proximity with more than 2,000 animals in 1.6 million gallons of seawater. Children ages 5 to 12 are granted admission for $12, while children under 4 get in for free.

    2. Kids 54 inches and taller will go for the ride of their lives aboard the roller coaster at Las Vegas’ famed New York New York Hotel & Casino. Opt for the “Family Fun Flight for Four” for $60, which includes four tickets and two 5x7 photos.

    3. Amid the sea of bars and swank lounges on the Las Vegas Strip is the Mirage Las Vegas, home to The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. This family-friendly spot is the place to see leopards, tigers, panthers and dolphins. Tickets to The Dolphin Habitat go for $14.95 for kids and $19.95 for adults; children under age 3 are admitted for free.

    4. Located just a 15-minute drive from the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Vdara Hotel & Spa is the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum (LDCM). Open Tuesday to Sunday, the ultra-interactive museum is a destination the whole family can enjoy, offering more than 23,000 square feet of hands-on activity in science, art and humanities. Tickets to the LDCM are $9.50 for adults and $8.50 for kids.

    5. Stationed at several resorts throughout Sin City is the famous Sugar Factory, the ultimate destination to cure even the most intense sweet tooth. Kids will love filling up on their favorite candies and gifts, but Sugar Factory is also a favorite of many celebrities, including the Kardashian family.
  • Plan the wedding of your dreams at Vdara Hotel & Spa, where you can throw a ceremony personalized just the way you always imagined. While there is no onsite chapel, the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Las Vegas hotel does boast ample room for your event — whether you’d like a sophisticated ballroom ceremony or an intimate gathering on the pool deck. Spa & Salon Vdara is a popular destination for bridal parties, offering a number of wedding packages that include manicure/pedicure services, makeup application, sunless bronzing, massages and updos.

  • With all the fine dining options and celebrity-chef restaurants in Las Vegas, the casual fare at Vdara Hotel & Spa can be a welcome change of pace during a long stay. Here’s our list of the five best things to eat and drink at Vdara:

    5. Bar Vdara has a quality cocktail list, which makes it the perfect spot to mingle with your friends, co-workers or anyone else you traveled with. We recommend you try the Black Dragon or the Red Rose Garden — two of the signature cocktails available on the menu.
  • Vdara has two dining options on the main level of the hotel — Market Café Vdara and Bar Vdara. Market Café Vdara features a gourmet coffee bar, pastries, paninis and a menu of freshly prepared breakfast and lunch items. This is a great option for a quick bite or when you need to grab something on the go. Market Café Vdara also has a small grocery store, stocked with delicious items. Bar Vdara is in the center of the Vdara lobby, and is the perfect setting for light fare or a late-night cocktail. Pool & Lounge Vdara also offers breakfast and lunch selections as well as tapas-style cuisine.
  • Market Café Vdara is a great place to have breakfast and features a gourmet coffee bar, smoothies and a menu of freshly prepared breakfast items. Pool & Lounge Vdara also offers breakfast selections.
  • There are no designated signature dishes at Market Café Vdara but the menu is focused on fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients. Breakfast items range from classic creations like the Pacific Coast “Bennies” to healthy options like the “Skinny” Scramble. In addition to the variety of savory items, we also have a great selection of fresh pastries to enjoy with our gourmet coffees, teas, smoothies and juices.
  • There are no designated signature dishes at Market Café Vdara but we do offer homemade soups alongside hand-crafted sandwiches and salads — perfect for a refreshing dinner. Bar Vdara also has many creative and innovative dinner options to choose from like the organic turkey burgers with tomato chutney and fries.
  • Bar Vdara offers many inventive drink choices from the “Kiss of Pearsuasion” vodka mix cocktail to the “Black Dragon”, a rum and berry mixed cocktail. Drink choices do change occasionally, but there is always something creative and fresh for everyone.
  • The wine list at Bar Vdara varies from sparkling white wines and Champagnes to reds and whites, including one of our favorites — a 2009 Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio from Valdadige, Italy.
  • Your options are varied when it comes to Vdara Hotel & Spa’s room service menu. For the afternoons and nights you’re unwilling to leave your luxurious modern enclave, we’re confident that the Four-Star hotel’s diverse 24-hour room service won’t disappoint.
  • Our children’s menu features favorites such as silver dollar pancakes, French toast, bacon and eggs, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, spaghetti, sliders and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to name a few.
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa’s Bar Vdara is as playful as it is luxurious, complete with an outdoor swing, sculptural screens and a reflecting pool. If you’ve come to the bar looking for vino, you’re in luck, as the bar has a handful of options. Bar Vdara has a host of pinot grigio, riesling, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay for your perusal, if you’re into white wines; and you’ll find pinot noir, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, red blend, chianti classico and zinfandel on the bar’s red wine list. Though it doesn’t specialize just in wine, Bar Vdara can meet all of your simple wine needs, right in the middle of the hotel.
  • You don’t have to leave the confines of Vdara Hotel & Spa to sip a cocktail or two. Bar Vdara, located in the middle of the hotel, has a light and airy feel with its tall ceilings and white gauzy curtains covering floor-to-ceiling windows. You’ll also find your typical lobby bar when you walk in, which is designed for lounging. Both bars incorporate neutral tones and abstract, structural shapes to capture the modern feel echoed throughout the hotel. Venture outside of Bar Vdara to its outdoor terrace, though, and you’ll find an outdoor hanging swing for playful types to lounge on.
  • You aren’t entering a full-blown party when you step inside Bar Vdara at Vdara Hotel & Spa. Instead, you’re treated to a compilation of background music that matches the aesthetic of the hotel. Bohemian, modern music (guaranteed not to put you to sleep) can be heard from wherever you’re seated throughout the bar, including out on the terrace. The music is fed from a computer, so you won’t see any DJs mixing within the bar. The combination of sophisticated music, an impressive cocktail list and a playful outdoor swing makes Bar Vdara a nice choice for enjoying a few libations.
  • You can enjoy in-suite dining at Vdara Hotel & Spa anytime of the day or night. There’s an abundance of options for when you’re feeling hungry during the day, from popcorn shrimp lettuce wraps to ahi tuna rolls. From 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Vdara offers a late-night menu that includes French onion soup with Gruyère cheese and kobe beef sliders on soft cheddar buns to satisfy your after-hours — but no less sophisticated — cravings. Past 2:30 a.m. the room service menu is condensed to a small sampling of dishes, but there are always tasty options like a club sandwich, free-range chicken quesadillas and Vdara rice to choose from.
  • Our children’s menu features favorites such as silver dollar pancakes, French toast, bacon and eggs, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, spaghetti, sliders and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to name a few.
  • You can find breakfast and brunch dishes on the menu all week long at Market Café Vdara — the only restaurant at Vdara Hotel & Spa. There are no designated signature dishes at Market Café Vdara, but the menu is focused on fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients. Breakfast items range from classic creations like the Pacific Coast “Bennies” to healthy options like the “skinny” scramble. In addition to the variety of savory items, the menu boasts a great selection of fresh pastries to enjoy with gourmet coffees, teas, smoothies and juices.
  • Considering its location in the heart of Las Vegas, Vdara Hotel & Spa has no shortage of nearby bars and clubs. Once the sun goes down, the Las Vegas Strip comes alive with a slew of nightclubs, lounges and bars that range from low-key to celebrity-themed blowout bashes. During the spring and summer months, head to Encore Beach Club, a daytime club that takes “summer pool party” to a whole new level. Lounge around the lush 60,000-square-foot space, either on one of the oversize lily pads in the pool or in one of the 26 cabanas or VIP bungalows. The neighboring ARIA Resort & Casino also boasts plenty of hot spots, including the cutting-edge Haze Nightclub or the swanky and sophisticated Deuce Lounge.

  • The fact that Vdara Hotel & Spa is a suites-only hotel is a major amenity in itself. This means that all suites are complete with a kitchenette for times you’d like to stay in and cook. Even the most basic of suites has a two-burner electric cooktop, dining table and under-counter refrigerator. All rooms are equipped with media hubs where you can plug in your MP3 player, DVD player or game console.

We don’t think you’ll ever run out of room when you stay at Vdara. The Deluxe Suite — considered the smallest room in the hotel — is 582 square feet in size. All Vdara suites have washers and dryer units for that residential feel and extra convenience. In addition to spectacular views of Las Vegas sites like the majestic Bellagio fountains, City Corner Suites and Executive Corner Suites offer pullout queen-size sofa beds and large soaking tubs in the bathrooms.
  • Your time is probably better spent at Vdara Hotel & Spa’s pool and lounge or perusing the Strip, but we understand the desire to watch some TV while you’re on vacation. You can fully relax while you watch one of Vdara’s 42-inch flat-screen televisions, which are provided in every one of the hotel’s suites. Not overwhelmingly large, the sleek TVs fit the suites’ modern style. Each room is also outfitted with a media hub to connect MP3 players, digital cameras, DVD players and game consoles to the TVs. Though this digital equipment does not come standard with your suite, you can either hook up your own or ask the concierge staff for a DVD player or game console to borrow. For your convenience, the 42-inch flat-screen TV adjusts up and down electronically to suit your watching needs. In other words, watching a movie in bed with room service just got a lot easier.
  • No need to tote tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner to Sin City when you stay at Vdara Hotel & Spa. At this Four-Star Las Vegas hotel, you’ll find Aveda hair products (rosemary mint, to be specific) to use in your all-glass shower or soaking tub. Rosemary paired with mint might sound like an odd combination, but both of these natural components serve a purpose: peppermint will awaken your senses and rosemary will protect your hair from environmental damage. After an afternoon spent at Vdara’s rooftop pool, these high-end products (which smell spectacular to boot) will clean you up in style.
  • Hospitality Suites located anywhere between the 42nd and 48th floors of Vdara Hotel & Spa offer a bevy of amenities that you won’t find in many of the basic suites within the hotel. A cordless multi-line telephone, complimentary limousine service, a full-size Sub-Zero refrigerator and even a separate wine refrigerator are just some of the amenities provided. City Corner Suites and Executive Corner Suites boast some of the best views of the Strip as well as the mountains. It’s the Panoramic Suite, though, that offers the absolute best views from within the Four-Star hotel. With floor-to-ceiling windows and a 270-degree view of CityCenter and the Strip, this suite ensures that whether you’re whipping something up in the kitchenette or working at your desk, you’ll be surrounded by the twinkling cityscape.
  • You can’t go wrong when you stay in the City Corner Suites or Executive Corner Suites at Vdara Hotel & Spa. They both feature big picture windows with full views of the Strip and the distant mountains. Even attractions like the Bellagio fountains are visible from these windows. The amount of space you’re afforded — 811 square feet, to be exact — paired with amenities and tremendous views make these suites extra appealing.

The very best views, however, are reserved for guests in the aptly named Panoramic Suite. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the Panoramic Suite offers a 270-degree view of CityCenter and the Strip. It doesn’t matter where you stand within this suite; you can see the twinkling Strip from every vantage point. These expansive vistas can be seen while you’re making something for dinner in the kitchen, working at your desk or simply lounging in bed.
  • Considering its prime location, we think it’s a shame that Vdara Hotel & Spa does not offer terraces connected to its suites. Though you can’t sit outside your room on a private balcony overlooking the Strip, you can enjoy Bar Vdara’s outdoor terrace to your heart’s content. Guests flock to this modernly decorated terrace, which features bright outdoor furniture, an enclosed stream of water and views of the pool. Bar Vdara has a playful vibe — you’ll even find a swing on this deck, making it a fun spot to unwind with a cocktail in hand.
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa accommodates larger groups by allowing you to adjoin rooms, which comes in handy for corporate travelers or those traveling with a large family. For example, if you book the City Corner Suite, you have the option of adding a connecting Deluxe Suite in order to keep your party together. Though the Deluxe Suite is considered the most basic guestroom, it offers a lot of amenities that go above and beyond the standard conveniences. In it you’ll find a kitchenette, a king-size Sealy mattress and a media hub, plus a large soaking tub in the bathroom. Needless to say, whoever stays in the Deluxe Suite rather than the City Corner Suite will not be disappointed. The stunning Panoramic Suite provides the same option to connect the Deluxe Suite, or book the two-bedroom Hospitality Suite — both bedrooms feature king-size mattresses.
