Overnight guests of The Umstead Hotel and Spa or The Umstead Spa elite members may use the hotel’s 24-hour gym. Simply use your room key for access and you’ll find the bright and spacious fitness center, offering practically every type of exercise equipment.

The gym at The Umstead Spa is filled with natural light from the large windows overlooking the grounds — perfect while you’re working out on the treadmills, elliptical machines, weight machines and free weights. Access to the gym means you’re free to your share of the amenities, such as fruit, bottled water, towels and headsets — and the small lounge area gives you a place to rest your weary muscles when your workout at the Four-Star spa is over.
