While the items on the menu typically change with the seasons, you can count on a fresh selection of dishes — all created in-house by the chef at Herons (The Umstead Hotel and Spa’s signature restaurant) — that incorporates locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Lunch at The Umstead Spa is available Sunday to Friday. If you’re in the mood for heartier fare, ask the spa receptionist to make a reservation for you at Herons. It’ll be the perfect way to top off a relaxing day, plus you’ll have access to the restaurant’s full menu.
