How do I get to Herons?

  1. Located inside The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, N.C., Herons is convenient to practically everything — including Raleigh-Durham International Airport. From I-40, one of the main thoroughfares in the Raleigh-Durham area, take the Harrison Avenue exit. If you're traveling from the west, you'll turn right onto North Harrison Avenue; if you're traveling from the east, you'll turn left. At the first traffic light, turn left onto SAS Campus Drive. The Umstead Hotel and Spa is the first turn on your left, and its beautifully constructed exterior is something you can't miss.

    To get to Herons inside The Umstead Hotel and Spa, go through the main entrance of the Five-Star hotel and turn left. When you reach the end of the hallway, turn right and you'll see the entrance to the restaurant.

  2. Upon entering the Umstead Hotel and Spa, proceed left down the promenade. At the end of the promenade turn right to the entrance of Herons. The entrance features a sculpture by North Carolina artist Stephen H. Smith entitled �Blue Heron.�
