  1. You should make an appointment at The Spa at The Grand Del Mar when you reserve your room at The Grand Del Mar hotel. Of course, if you don’t, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get into the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa — it just might be a bit more difficult. We made our spa appointment the day of and had no problem getting in (likely because it was a weekday). Keep in mind that weekends are busier at the San Diego spa, so you’ll want to plan ahead to get in then. Since not every treatment is available at all times, we recommend booking an appointment as far in advance as possible.
