What are the desserts like at Lemaire?
-
Much like the menu, the desserts at Lemaire rotate on a daily and seasonal basis. Our Forbes Travel Guide editors recommend the peanut butter cheesecake, which is heavenly, and the blueberry “soup” with housemade granola is a longtime menu favorite. You’ll find other options such as the “Almond Joy” cheesecake, a butterscotch crème brûlée and a Southern pecan tart. There’s also an artisanal cheese platter available rather than a separate cheese course. Along with traditional desserts, Lemaire offers a selection of after dinner drink (such as an Irish coffee, a White Russian or a chocolate martini), coffees, teas and dessert wines. We definitely recommend you order dessert while dining at Lemaire — they’re all delicious.

The desserts in Lemaire are created by Pastry Chef Sara Ayyash and her team of confectionery experts. The menu provides a seasonal offering of Southern inspired desserts the mirror the philosophies of Chef Bundy’s dinner menu with the use of fresh, local ingredients whenever possible.
Through each season the dessert menu will include at least one dessert featuring the fruits that are at their best. The summer favorite is the unique Peak of the Season Blueberry “Soup“ with vanilla ice cream and house-made granola. The menu regularly features a crème brulee that incorporates the flavors of the season while chocolate can always be found the menu, whether in the “Smores“ cheesecake, a chocolate tasting or chocolate croissant bread pudding with Wild Turkey anglaise (a Southern favorite).
