What are the five best kids’ amenities at The St. Regis New York?
-
When you travel to The St. Regis New York with your family, you won’t have to worry about keeping your kids busy — the Five-Star hotel provides plenty of kid-specific details to keep them happy and entertained. To help you take advantage of all that’s offered, we’ve made a list of the five best kids’ amenities at the hotel:
1. Your kids will love the room service menu’s “Mini Butler Bites,” food made just for them. The 24-hour in-room dining menu includes hot dogs, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, grilled and cheese and triple-decker PB&Js. If you want to treat your children to a tasty dessert, we recommend the parlor-style banana split topped with hot fudge and cherries or the “freeze burger,” a giant ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies.
2. At the New York hotel, it’s all about the personalized service — and that goes for your kids, too. Let the concierge know about your children’s interests before your stay and the staff will pre-stock your room with whichever video games, board games, DVDs or books your kids like. If the room hasn’t been pre-stocked, tell your butler about your children’s preferences to get games and toys to suit their tastes.
3. Though the luxury hotel doesn’t have its own pool on the premises, you can take your kids on a five-minute walk to the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel for complimentary access to its pool and sundeck. Towels and lounge chairs are provided and small children can wear water wings in the 5-foot-deep pool.
4. Whether your kids like to play Wii, PlayStation or Xbox, simply ask the concierge for access to the latest video game systems. Your kids can play games on the guestroom’s flat-screen TV that rises from the foot of the bed. Or, if browsing the Internet is their thing, little ones can request a laptop from the business center to stream movies and TV shows.
5. For guests with toddlers and infants, the St. Regis also has amenities to keep them safe. Ask the concierge for outlet covers and table bumpers, or even for a crib, free of charge. New York State law prevents hotels from giving you bumpers for the crib, but you can bring your own.
