What is the cancellation policy at Lake Placid Lodge?

  1. As Lake Placid Lodge is smaller than most hotels — with just 30 rooms — you can imagine that cancellations have quite an effect. With a strict cancellation policy, you should only book if you are completely confident that you will make it to the lodge. Of course, we understand that things come up; but you better hope that nothing comes up any closer than three weeks before your arrival date. As long as you cancel with at least 21-days notice, you will receive your full deposit back, with the exception of a $100 cancellation fee. Or if you plan to reschedule, you can apply your full deposit to a future stay within that same year. That being said, if you wait until the last minute — even though three weeks is hardly the last minute — you’ll have to pay. Seriously, you won’t only pay 100 percent of your stay, but you will also miss out on the peace and tranquility that is Lake Placid Lodge.
