One look at Georgian Room’s white carved-stone fireplace, hand-painted china and ornate crystal chandeliers, and you’ll know that the dress code is formal. The exquisite Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant inside The Cloister is a place for special-occasion dining, so outfit yourself accordingly: At dinner, men are required to don pants, collard shirts and jackets, while women should opt for dressed-up blouses and pants or conservative dresses.
At breakfast (Georgian Room isn’t open for lunch), the dress code isn’t as strict at the Sea Island restaurant. You can wear resort-casual attire, which means that jeans and a button-up shirt will do for the men, and sundresses are a fine choice for the ladies.
