What is the waiting area like at The Spa at Hammock Beach Resort?
To say the waiting area is grand at The Spa at Hammock Beach Resort is an understatement. Whether you’re waiting to check in or waiting in the relaxation lounge before your treatment, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out. The spa shares space with the fitness center and is located on the bottom level of Hammock Beach Resort. When you walk in, you’ll check in at the long counter in the middle of the room. If there’s not a concierge readily available to set you up, peruse the small spa shop, peek into the fitness center or check out what’s happening in the exercise studio while you wait. Once the spa concierge checks you in, you’ll be greeted by a locker room attendant who will show you to your locker, give you a tour of the wet areas and remind you when it’s about 10 minutes before your treatment so you can head to the relaxation waiting area.
There are two ways to enter the St. Augustine spa: through the main doors on the ground level of the hotel or through the garage. If you’re visiting the spa but you’re not a guest of the hotel, park in the garage and make your way directly to the spa through that entrance. Hotel guests will find it a more soothing experience to enter the spa waiting room area through the main doors on the ground level of Hammock Beach Resort.

What kinds of wraps are offered at The Spa at Hammock Beach Resort?
There are just a couple of body wraps on the menu at The Spa at Hammock Beach Resort, but the ones listed are sure to leave you in a state of pure bliss. (Be sure to check the monthly specials at the Florida spa, too, as there might be some new wraps offered at introductory prices.)
The green tea and ginger wrap starts with a body scrub containing antioxidants and nutrients and is followed by a body wrap with green tea to balance the yin and yang of your body’s composition, ginger root to invigorate your mind and a seaweed algae to stimulate your body’s metabolism. You’ll finish with a papaya pineapple lotion massaged into your skin, which will leave a lasting scent and sense of serenity. The second wrap is the Brazilian rainforest wrap. It was created from ingredients found in the Brazilian rainforest. Honeybees collect the raw materials to produce a propolis serum that is naturally high in antioxidants and healing properties. That propolis is applied to your skin, which is then wrapped up and left to soak in all the nutrients. To further seal in the propolis, warm coconut milk is poured over your body and gently massaged in after the wrap. -

The Hammock massage. The St. Augustine spa’s signature massage, this treatment is fully customizable. The spa therapists blend elements of lomilomi, hot stone, aromatherapy and Swedish massage to help you fully relax and let go.

Warm coconut stone massage. The traditional hot stone massage is given a bit of a boost with warm coconut cream, which helps to release back and spine tension.
